Re: Yaya sticking the boot into Pep Guardiola
I'm not a huge fan of Pep as a person but it's difficult to maintain that he did much wrong as a football manager last season isn't it?
Maybe Pep didnt send Yaya a big enough birthday cake.

YaYa is off his head.
His legs went 2 years ago at least - no way he would be first choice in a midfield that presses as much as City do under Guardiola.
The reason nobody else wanted to buy YaYa was because he was on £240k a week....and that's a lot of cash for somebody who cannot run.
Hardly big news that a player with the ego of YaYa "where`s my birthday cake" Toure decides to criticise the manager who dropped him a couple of years ago. City fans love Toure but many I know were not happy about how he and his agent threatened to leave the club every summer when he was playing well and ended up with several new improved contracts. I also do not know one City fan who would have picked him in the last 2 seasons.

Maybe Pep just doesn't like the drama that comes with having YaYa in the squad.

Pep got it right. I don't see how anyone can argue Yaya's case.
Well past his best, overpayed and revels in drama.

Re: Yaya sticking the boot into Pep Guardiola
Seemed to get on just fine with Keita.
Who cares? He's paid to win, if he thought 11 Scottish players fit his specific player requirements then I'm sure he'd sign them, just as he'd sign 11 from Madagascar if he deemed them good enough.
These are non stories and really don't contribute to any sort of progress/positivity

Re: Yaya sticking the boot into Pep Guardiola
If he doesn’t like African players why did he have Yaya and Etoo at Barca?
Re: Yaya sticking the boot into Pep Guardiola
maybe African players in general simply aren't as good? being black doesn't make them better nor does it make them worse at football. Speaking of Africans, Pep clearly likes Mahrez.

Mahrez is French born and raised but with Algerian heritage, so a little different.KRBFC wrote:maybe African players in general simply aren't as good? being black doesn't make them better nor does it make them worse at football. Speaking of Africans, Pep clearly likes Mahrez.
Although he's as good at having a tantrum as Yaya is I suppose.

Pehaps its Yayas tendency to play when his arsed that was the real issue. The thought that some black players didnt possess the stamina to last a fulll game was raised by Ron Atkinson .Unfortunately ,Rons unacceptable language got him sacked. However the issue with Pogba and his lack of effort at Manure has been highlighted by his manager.

Some commentators have linked us with Toure. After this childish outburst confirmed his self obsession it’s clear he isn’t for us. I hope we stay well clear.

The same Yaya Toure that said Aubameyang winning the African footballer of the year (after Yaya had won it for four consecutive seasons) brought "shame on Africa" and was "Pathetic".
He's the Kanye West of football.

What Ron Atkinson said was clearly very stupid and racist. Of course some black players do not possess the stamina to last a full game....just like some white players didn’t !!
As much as I think Yaya is out of order with these comments if you think he could not be arsed or did not have the stamina then not sure you have seen him play much - at his peak his lung bursting 60 yard runs were as good as anything seen in the league for years.
The reason these stopped is very simple - he got old. It happens to all players and in the style Pep plays he needs players who can press and he Yaya can’t do that as well as the other players Pep has at City now.
Re: Yaya sticking the boot into Pep Guardiola
Only one person comes out of this with no credit and it isn’t Pep. Things like this and Sol and Dwight’s comments reverses much of the great work that has been done in terms of racial integration in my lifetime. It matters not a jot what colour a persons skin is however you can get d!ckheads in any colour.
