Anything sang by Westlife. They never actually created any of their own music - they copied every song, because they didn't have the ability to write their own.
P-poor.

Hate that Calvin Harris song 'Feels'. It's just so annoying.
Plus it sounds like "catch fish" rather than "catch feels".

You can do the same to the awful Haddaway song, "Please Don't Go" by singing "Beans On Toast".Flatline wrote:I always remember when this came out,as someone I knew sung it one time"We built this Chippy on Sausage Rolls".It's implanted in my brain whenever I hear it and still sing it now, much to the detriment of people who hear it.
For that reason alone,it's a good song.

I used to think it was, 'What have you done today to make you feel proud? by M People. But I've heard it so often at my kids' school assemblies/concerts etc that I find it strangely amusing now.
So it's anything by Coldplay for me. The biggest pile of dreary poo, dropped out by the most pretentious and distinctly average band in the history of mediocre music.

'I believe in a thing called love' - in fact not just that song, anything by the Darkness. Weird how they just suddenly appeared overnight like some big rock stars. Mac Bolan-esque they definitely were not.

Damn right Karatekid. It's the most grammatically flawed song ever. Lyric writing to just make it rhyme. They carry on with, 'The alphabet goes right from A to Zee'.karatekid wrote:1) Black eyed peas - tonight's gonna be a good night ( not with that shoite on it's not)

It's a great benchmark for me, as soon as matey tells me it's the best song ever I can ignore everything else he says from thereon in.

Everything produced in manchester ever, nothing of any value.
take your pick , simply red (dog s***) smiths, buzzcocks, new order, joy division, stone roses, unfortunately the list is a lengthy one.
none of those recording were worth getting out of bed to produce, thankfully they will fade away into obscurity, most already have.

Re: The WORST songs in the world...EVER!!!
This is clearly an essay question as there is so much sh1te about. However, can I give a special call out to:-
1) Any piece of infantile music which the artist has such difficulty with intonation that I cringe every time its on and can't understand how somebody at the recording studio didn't say to the singer - "Can't you sing in tune you talentless ####" so this will include
a) Ring my bell - by someone that consistently shrieks sharp all over the place
b) Most of the early Jackson 5 material featuring M Jackson on out-of-tune-screeching
c) The Cyprus entry in the last Eurovision which inexplicably finished in a champions league spot after the jury vote from the members of the music industry, suggesting that some of them are tone deaf too.
2) "Men in black" and "Waltz in black" both by the Stranglers which I have to remember to jump up and press the "skip" button on the respective albums.
3) The rubbish that they have on in the cake shop every lunchtime (It might be Heart FM, not sure but it definitely is a turd every bit as bad as Meatloaf, the Beatles (except those tracks written by Harrison) and most of Pstotto's list).
4) Most of the repertoire of William Byrd, Palestrina (except, perhaps, "Like as the Hart") et al, with which I was tortured in my early years and for which I believe that I am owed huge damages for personal injury from the Church of England - or a pension, or something.

Plus anything from the god awful Spice Girls. The music has dated so much and so badly it borders on embarrassing. I'm glad it has though because you rarely hear them anymore which is something to be very grateful for!
