Tugay-Past his best when he joined Rovers,always flattered to deceive for me.

Andy Cole-Decent goalscorer,even did well in a brief loan spell at Burnley.

Craig Bellamy-Never world class but a decent goalscorer at most of his clubs,seems to get itchy feet and move a lot though.

Roque Santa Cruz-Had one good season 2007-08,but again flattered to deceive and another who never settled.

Benni McCarthy-Had two good seasons and amazing to imagine getting a player at that level now for 2.5 million.

That squad would finish around 7th-12th in the current Premier League in my opinion,similar to Leicester,two real class acts in Shearer and Cole at their peak,assume TIm Flowers would be between the sticks i would include Tim Sherwood always felt he was under-rated but you need players like that in any successful team.

Back to the present day and Rovers are linked with an Oxford player,OH! well at least you've got the memories.

Premier League’s all time leading goal scorer.

Most World Class players play for top clubs, because the top clubs want top players.

I watched South Africa play 2 World Cup qualifiers recently against Cape Verde Islands, they lost both games 2-1. I can confirm South Africa are horrendous, they even lost at home to Tanzania and Madagascar a few days ago.

Edit - I would take McNeill over Hansen personally, but that’s subjective. Unlike pointing out that they were both miles better than Hendry, which is an obvious, objective truth.
