That’s 10 more than David Beckham whose second.

He's asking if we consider a player known for his chequered past to be a legend.
If anyone says yes he will call us hypocrites because we call out Hendry for being a wife beater.

Ah the usual 'I take the high ground' response oweing to getting a single point correct over me. Must mean I know nothing about football. OK pal.

'Ah the usual 'I take the high ground' response oweing to getting a single point correct over me. Must mean I know nothing about football. OK pal.'
I didn't read it like he was taking the 'high ground' over you, just simply for highlighting the stupidity of your comments in general on this board, as per.
Anyway, are we still boycotting or are we sneaking back on, what with the 'turds winning promotion and the evil venkys dishing out match tickets like confetti again?
You've all been made to look a bit silly recently haven't you (not as that was particularly difficult).
First, it was the mega rich venkys are 'gonna take us back to the top', 'you'll always be in our shadow' etc, etc/ quickly replaced by 'we want our t'roverrrs back' and a boycott involving a couple of pathetic stained bed sheets with slogans on being waved about by a collection of IQ challenged individuals/ to be quickly replaced again by 'lets all get behind the lads cos we've won some games' (oh, and we'll all conveniently forget about the millions the venkys have kept us afloat with).
Come on saxo, tell me any of this is inaccurate?

Yes it was a big post, fully 9 sentences long, takes approximately 20 seconds to read.
However, I do make allowances for you, as I am fully aware the standards of basic reading and writing in shadsworth are somewhat lacking.
How long is it since you lot beat us, just remind me?

Compare this to your reaction when I pointed out someone else's minor mistake...Graham25goals wrote:Ah the usual 'I take the high ground' response oweing to getting a single point correct over me. Must mean I know nothing about football. OK pal.
...so I think we can add hypocrisy to the list of your moral and intellectual failings.Graham25goals wrote:Brilliant haha..
I think it's fair to say that Pearce penalty against Spain and his reaction to scoring is one of the all-time classic memorable moments in English football history - certainly on a par with Owen against Argentina in '98 or the 5-1 in Germany in the qualifiers for '02.
So yes, if you thought the injured Graeme Le Saux was a Euro '96 semi-finalist and that Venables should have taken him instead of the much better Pearce (to say nothing of Colin Hendry being the best Scottish defender of all time, which is even more laughable), then it's pretty clear that you know nothing about football, "pal".
When you're down in a ditch, everyone seems to have taken the high ground.

Well if he’s players for Burnley it will be a requirement, I didn’t see much tracking back in the second half and you have do it for the ful 90 minutes.bf2k wrote:Why would a no.10 (or attacking midfielder in my day) need to track back? Plus I saw a lot of defensive work from him tonight.

It’s not just one game it’s a WC game which one would hope a player would be playing to his highest standard especially when he’s looking for another club.
