We don't really go for players on a downward spiral in their career but what a signing he would be.

Isn't £12 million the release clause in his contract?
And don't we pay bonuses now at the end of the season depending on our final position?
So maybe the fabled £35k per week is not necessarily the be all and end all.

You've got this far without any 'stars', so why? I know Rovers had some world class talent over the years, but under dyche, it doesn't appear necessary.

Because he is a very good player. I don’t care about names or where he’s played before. Improving the squad season on season is what we should aim for. He would improve the squad.

Shearer was world class in my opinion. Maybe not as good as someone like the original Ronaldo, but you always have a few elite players that are above anyone else.

All competed at the very top, along with the very best at the point in their career while at Rovers. That is my definition of world class.

Edit- and yes shaqiuri is world class IMO.. Not a Dyche type though.
