Political slogans that make you reach for the sick bucket
As it will be one year since the last General Election on Friday, seemed a good time to take the P**s out of all the parties.
Starters for number ten
Strong And stable
For the many not the few
We're all in this together
Hard working Families
Brexit means brexit
I'm sure there are many more and i'm equally sure UTB and Ringo will hijack this thread

I think they mean the 'collective' sense, i.e. the nation.tiger76 wrote:Another couple come to mind mentioning Labour,

Re: Political slogans that make you reach for the sick bucket
The NHS is safe in our hands (the Tories).
They've spent years dismantling it slowly because:
A. it doesn't make a profit.
B. it stands as a beacon of socialism on the political landscape of this country.
The only reason they haven't got rid of it is because it would be political suicide for them to do so. It represents everything they hate.

'No more boom and bust'
When Gordon Brown uttered these words with the dark countenance of a Presbyterian minister, I knew we were in for a period of stability.

Are they still allowed to kiss babies? Seems in light of all the various things we've read it would be unwise to get involved in that now.

Labour helped them out quite a lot with the NHS.houseboy wrote:The NHS is safe in our hands (the Tories).

It you work backwards you can trace a lot of the issues with it to Labour.

Re: Political slogans that make you reach for the sick bucket
We're in the middle of a provincial election here in Ontario. The Conservative candidate's slogan is "For the People". Mostly, they're for their own kind, the wealthy and privileged. Also, he looks like the Goodyear blimp, and inherited his money from his father's label-printing business. He loves to bully people, and is the brother of the late mayor of Toronto, the buffoonish Ford. He'll probably win, which will be a real crime.

I thought “take back control” was a winner of a slogan. It’s quite possible Labour might use a version of it regarding privatised industry during the upcoming GE.

Back to basics.
The epitome of hypocrisy, espousing family values and launched by a PM who was shagging one of his MPs.

All of them. All parties.
In fact most slogans, political or not, are daft.
