Good God man!

Burnley every single second of every single day. Even when we're not playing but England are.

No contest. If Burnley ceased to exist I would have no interest whatever in football.

England footie doesn't even move the needle when compared to Burnley.

Although I hope they win it.

I'd rather live in Burnley than in England, but I'd rather go on holiday to England than Burnley.

Myself, the pro England supports seem more fans who don't really regular support the club team the support.

I see it in so called UTD/Liverpool fans etc...one Liverpool fan even confirmed he rather see England win the world cup than his own team win the premier league!!!!

Burnley have been my team I love and over 25 years, thick and thin!

Burnley.

HATE international weekends.

That said, with Tripps in the squad and Pope I will be watching with interest. At least it will help pass the summer

Used to follow England home and away. Had some great weekends. If it was a choice between Burnley away in Europe or England away then it’s Burnley for me. Nothing wrong with loving both is there?

Season ticket for the Clarets, there's times I can't be arsed to watch England on the telly for free.

Burnley, then even Burnley reserves, before watching that bunch of overpaid, over hyped pretty boys.

In fact I've watched other nations over England at times, if there are clarets involved.

Club - easily.

While I have watched Ireland home and away, it doesn't feel the same. I remember getting a text after we beat Italy in Lille, asking had I gone mental? Yes it was a huge result, but it was nothing like the feeling after we won at Ewood after waiting 35 years.

He’d rather watch a dozen England games in a year than 40ish Burnley games???

Burnley is an obsession, England a 'nice to have'.

Huge gap, although want both to win of course.

Laughable as it was meaningless in terms of the league to us. We were always finishing mid table, virtual dead rubber, like the league cup game last season.

I'd like to re-live Sam Vokes header against Belgium over and over again.

Burnley and Wales are sort of similar anyway. Founder members and punching well above their weight for much of their existence.

Supporting England must be more like supporting the scousers. One good period since the war and the rest of the time their supporters think they'll win the league but f up all the time.

burnley, england is just an occasional unimportant thing, fleeting interest as they get dumped out of yet another tournament.

also, as has been mentioned, the fans are an odd bunch. usually from places with useless clubs . look for the banners when england are playing, almost all are from div 2 towns, rarely see top flight teams flags. they are mostly well off, because it costs a fortune to travel and stay.

Being of mixed heritage (my mother is Danish), I have mixed loyalties. I always cheer for England, except when they're playing either Denmark or Scotland (my father's family came to England via Scotland). Thankfully, that doesn't occur too often. But BFC is a 365-day-a-year obsession for me.

Bit of a daft question really as you don’t have to choose. 1990 World Cup was a really big thing for me as a 16 year old. Burnley we’re struggling to get out of the fourth division in those days and it was a different kind of feeling watching England but I remember where I was and who I was with for all those games in Italia ‘90.
The wins against Belgium and Cameroon in particular had all our village partying in the streets and I thought we’d every chance to go on and win it.
I was mortified when we lost that penalty shootout. Felt raw, but I still have fond memories of that team and the wonderful bobby Robson.
That England campaign changed a lot about football and peoples’ perceptions of it in a way that went well beyond the club. Football fans of all clubs united behind the same team, that felt pretty big at the time. Much for the positive, look at how attendances increased in the 90s in this country and turned a generation onto it. The fact that we’ve never got close to emulating that summer is perhaps why people reckon to be not bothered, but if we got to a quarter final against Spain or someone, I’ll wager the match thread on here will feature plenty people getting very excited.

Everyone in England cares more about what they are having for their tea than they do about the England football team.

Folk have tea every day you see.

It's a stupid question, but some folk have managed to give stupid answers.

I just hope that the 'look at how much I don't like England' lot don't post on the match threads this summer.

Always want England & Ireland to win. Like to see all the home nations win. Even Scotland!
But the importance of Burnley's results, and where the club stands, is way ahead of anything else in football.

Don't care much for the international friendlies and the qualifiers against the non entities like Malta. But I will certainly be wanting England to succeed in the World Cup this summer probably as much as I want Burnley to win during the season. In terms of the major fixtures the two seldom clash so it is easily possible to support both.

My real club is Lowerhouse CC and I would place that way before Burnley FC and the England football team because I can get involved and interact on a personal level which is far more fulfilling than sitting in a stand or watching on TV.
