Fantastic player, an energetic creative version of Fernandinho.

He's been the assistant manager to Marco Silva's under 8's team that has toured Europe.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:How have you managed to watch so much Ukrainian football?

Re: Fred signs for Man United
I bet a lot, end up watching a whole host of football including South American league stuff, I haven't watched much South American league stuff in recent years but I loved the late night Copa Libertadores. I used to be a secret Atletico Nacional/Universidad de Chile fan. I believe Fred played for Internacional in Brazil while Neymar was still at Santos and Ronaldinho was at Atletico Mineiro. I can't remember the last time Shakhtar weren't in Europe? Fred was very impressive last year, scored a belting free kick against Roma and performed well against City especially the home game which Shakhtar won. I'd take another Brazilian from Shakhtar, Bernard, another player who was at Atletico Mineiro with Ronaldinho. I believe MIneiro won the Copa Libertadores with Bernard, Ronaldinho and Jo (former Man City striker) as a front 3.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:How have you managed to watch so much Ukrainian football?

Re: Fred signs for Man United
So you're pretty much basing it on his CL games?
Considering it's been 5yrs apparently since he played in Brazil.
Not knowing much about the Ukrainian league, is it that competitive or is it like many league's around Europe with a small number of teams regularly in the European spots?

Do you want to argue with me or something? I don't know what to tell you, I have seen Fred play numerous times and I think he's a very good player. He's in the Brazilian World Cup national team, he's hardly some 15 year old unknown Indian playing in Botswana. You can watch Fred in the Champions League every year or watch Brazil play if you haven't seen South American football before or don't fancy watching Ukrainian league football. Shakhtar are a very good side and would likely spank us, I'd take a number of their players like Marlos.GodIsADeeJay81 wrote:So you're pretty much basing it on his CL games?

I should be a football scout, if I was another Internacional player i'd recommend is Nico Lopez, I watched him play for Uruguay U20's at the 2013 World Cup, I believe he finished top goalscorer in the tournament while he was contract to Roma, things didn't work out he's gone to Brazil to rebuild his career.
Pacey wideman needed? look no further than Junior Fernandes, another who I watched play for Universidad de Chile quite a few years ago, moved around since then and absolutely tore Serbia apart last night in an international friendly for an inexperienced Chile side.

Not looking to argue, just asking.
I'm aware there are people out there who watch as much sport as they can.
My step dad would probably watch tiddlywinks if it was shown live on Sky Sports

Re: Fred signs for Man United
Universidad de Chile's manager when I was a closet fan and they won the Copa Libertadores was Jorge Sampaoli, he's now of course a World known manager and manages Argentina. I should have got the Burnley board to snap him up in 2011 instead of Eddie Howe
