Can I clarify, is the OP after a location or a recipe? A trifle ambiguous to me.

I often go to Drakes Fish and Chips on Bradford Road at Shipley. Not sure if you go that way?

Absolutely excellent fish and chips. Last time I went there as well it was around 11pm in the middle of the beast from the east and it was still open :o :o and it was still excellent - especially after a 12 hour drive from Cambridge

Not sure whether you have been and what you thought if so. But personally have always had a good fish and chips there.

If you are ever down the East Lancs Rd., Salford end. The Woodside is top class.

sorry was last year I went but my son and family have been and say it's still excellent, however could not tell you the cost but not the cheapest for sure.

They do have there "star" which is a prerequisite for definitely not cheap or in other words quite expensive.

Bumping this to recommend the bay horse in roughlee. Not been since it reopened. But was absolutely top drawer. And for the price as good value as you will get anywhere.

Always dubious of sunday dinners especially after this thread but that was 10 out of 10.

Be warned. They fill you up especially if you get beef brisket.

3 courses came to less than 50 quid for two of us. And it was veey good quality as well as price.

Is that the one on from what was The Branch pub? Used to go a good number of years ago, although under a different name then (which escapes me) but was always decent.

Not sure. Its on the end where the road forks off down the hill. Think its a green 'facade'.

Visited 3 Millstones, West Bradford, a couple of weeks ago for Sunday lunch- excellent, bit dearer than standard places around the area- recommmend.

The Fleece Inn, seafood pub company, Addingham yesterday which was good - will return.

Alma Inn, turns out to have changed at some point to Seafood pub company, today for Sunday lunch which was ok.

Further to my - White Swan, Wheatley Lane
one of the best have had in the North

I have been trying many in the Souff of the country and without a doubt best I have had was the Jones Family Project in Shoreditch and on par with the White Swan. So now a recommendation for North and Souff.

Not had Fish and Chips from the chippy in the North for a long time, however best in the Souff is in Bethnal Green, Broadway Market, excellent, also one close to Bethnal Green tube which has an incredible selection of fish including Skate however you need to order Skate 30 min's in advance or wait.

Excellent choice, but you will have to book before turning up.
Another just down the road is the Craven Arms at Giggleswick. It's brilliant. The Yorkshire pudding is a meal in itself.

The Plough in Oswaldtwistle.Bit pricy but excellent and plenty of it.The owner is a chef and they now have a good clientele coming through the doors.

Marble Arch, Rochdale Road, Manchester, a few minutes walk from the Northern Quarter. Beautiful unspoilt tiled Victorian pub with a sloping floor. Brew their own beers, relaxed unpretentious atmosphere and crowd with amazing food, usually 4 different choices of Sunday roasts including vegetarian. Highly recommended.
