Everton prioritising a centre half
Everton prioritising a centre half
According to SSN
No surprise given Jagielka and Williams are way past their best
If they come in with a reasonable bid for Mee, and he is still stalling on the contract offer, then I think we have to let him go
Given the shorter time before training and Europa games begin, we can't afford to let this uncertainty drag on much longer if we are going to have to find a suitable replacement

Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
Keane will be creaming himself at the prospect of teaming up with Mee again.
Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
I'd be surprised if they ever did business with us again after having their pants down twice in 6 months with the sale of Keane and the signing of Lennon for a minimal fee.
Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
Keane was an excellent CB alongside Mee
Jagielka and Williams were the problem last season hence their need to look elsewhere

Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
Everton have been my number one concern re: Ben Mee.
They’ll pay well, fairly local to him and he had a good working relationship with Keane.
Ben Mee, please don’t go.

Yeah it was all Jagielka's fault when we played them at the Turf, Keane was horrific, god knows what he was doing for Barnes' goal.jojomk1 wrote:Keane was an excellent CB alongside Mee

Sorry to spoil the 'Let's sell Ben Mee party' but the contract is almost signed.

How long does it take, it's only 6 letters (and three of those are the same)?Quickenthetempo wrote:Sorry to spoil the 'Let's sell Ben Mee party' but the contract is almost signed.

It was the talk of the fixture release corporate breakfast from within the club.Bigvince wrote:Have I missed something, where have you heard that?

On the contract wouldn't it be Benjamin Mee?
He's holding out for a zoo.

A friend of mine who supports Everton would agree with you on Williams but not Jagielka. He also thinks Keane is dreadful and was, alongside Williams, Koeman's worst signing.jojomk1 wrote:Jagielka and Williams were the problem last season hence their need to look elsewhere

Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
Why would Mee go to Everton when he has seen the way Kean's career has faltered so badly after going there? Just a thought.
Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
That seems to be the general concensus among Everton supporters, although the ones I know recognise that Keane's season was disrupted by the injury and infection he picked up early on and hope he could still come good.ClaretTony wrote:A friend of mine who supports Everton would agree with you on Williams but not Jagielka. Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
I don't care what Everton want.
I want Ben Mee for Burnley.

Re: Everton prioritising a centre half
I don't think anyone from Burnley would consider Keane a poor player when he was here, and you would think he could not be so bad if he had a decent player (whoever that is) alongside himClaretTony wrote:A friend of mine who supports Everton would agree with you on Williams but not Jagielka. Just hope Everton don't come knocking

He had two things going for him here that he didn't have at Everton.jojomk1 wrote:I don't think anyone from Burnley would consider Keane a poor player when he was here, and you would think he could not be so bad if he had a decent player (whoever that is) alongside him

1. Sean Dyche's framework
2. Ben Mee
