Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
It'll fly by Peter. Only 335 miles and Joanne will be buying the sambucas before you know it !!
A horrible one way system coming away from the ground at 10.30pm on a Thursday night however with that journey ahead.
You should get plenty takers. The train takes over six and a half hours and probably wouldn't turn up!

Cost of coaches is more than we expected, so prices will be adults £50/under 16's £45. Times will be available ASAP.

Only 335 miles? That's not even as far as Montreal from here. But, like Montreal, it's a whole different country.

Are you broken or something? Have you even read through any previous replies on this thread? Read through the thread first before posting people, I can’t stress that enough, if you don’t you just wind up looking like an idiot.Jamiebell22 wrote:Hiya mate, just wondering whether you’re already taking bookings, if so could I get 6 under 16s under the name bell, cheers.

Are the coaches an upgrade on the normal ones (more comfortable) considering such a long journey ?
Thanks.

Our coaches are always Executive standard with toilet, brew and DVD facilities.John Johnson 1605 wrote:Hi Leisure,

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Don't worry about comfort. Ive done the journey about a 100 times and the scenery is still breathtaking.

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
The club will make announcement in due course. I would think there will be lengthy discussions between the two clubs in terms of allocations, prices etc. Our club will also have to work to UEFA regulations.tybfc wrote:Leisure - Any indication as to when tickets are going on sale?

That's a SHOCKING price for under 16's to travel. You could get a return ticket to Paris for that. Very disappointing prices.

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
True enough. But what I DON'T understand is why Leisure is so concerned whether they have a match ticket or not. What's it to him? He's arranging the bus.
Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Millertime too many people book on then don't turn up if they haven't got a ticket and don't have the courtesy to cancel their booking but the coach still has to be paid for

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Yup and it's easily solved. Take the money off them as soon as they commit. Then they don't have the CHOICE to back out.
Even if they have a ticket it doesn't guarantee they'll show up. People are flakey. After 17 years at BT I've learned that money talks louder than verbal agreements. Hit then in the wallet and they will be on that bus GURANTEED.

Leisure's been running coaches longer than he'd care to remember. If he's doing something, there's a good reason.Millertime v1.7 wrote:Yup and it's easily solved. Take the money off them as soon as they commit. Then they don't have the CHOICE to back out.

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Because there is no REASON or LOGIC for the guy to asking for match tickets as some kind of assurance that theyll be on the bus. They are two separate entities. He's tried to be the nanny state and got confused.

The only one confused here is you.
It's Burnley to Aberdeen and back again, not the other way around.

Although we have stated that you must have a ticket before you can book on, we've had a number of fans contact us saying that they don't want to buy tickets without knowing that they can get there by coach. Therefore, we will now start taking bookings but once people have booked on we'd ask them to confirm once they've got their tickets.
PS - the pickup times are now confirmed.

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Do you have an ETA getting to Aberdeen and arriving back in Burnley, and do you need to be a member of Accy Clarets?
Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
If we don't have our usual pub stop ETA is 3pm or with a pub stop 5/6ish. ETA back in Burnley is 5/6am. No, you don't have to be a member to book on.scouseclaret wrote:Do you have an ETA getting to Aberdeen and arriving back in Burnley, and do you need to be a member of Accy Clarets?

Mate listen, just because I'm not going on this bus doesn't mean I can't question his skewed logic. He ain't been able to reply to me because he doesn't have an answer. He's playing nanny state.

Re: Accy Clarets to Aberdeen
Don't call me mate, I find it condescending!
Leisure has the decency to spend his own time arranging travel for Clarets fans to travel the country. For that reason, he can make whatever rules he sees fit, he most certainly doesn't need to justify any decisions to you!
Please don't reply on this thread, it's only for those who plan to travel to the game.
Thanks
