McCartney is a really easy target to mock. But there’s something fascinating about him even though he comes across as arrogant.

I'll never forgive him for that performance at the Olympics, dreadful old woman. He probably won't lose too much sleep over that though
Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
I'm not generally a fan of James Corden, but what they did there was a little bit special. The whole thing including the audience reaction at the end had me shed a little tear, I'm not ashamed to admit.

I thought it was brilliant. Being that famous and having the life he's had is always going to change someone and it would be hard to remain completely "normal" but I don't get why some people are negative towards him. Living legend.

Cracking watch.
His voice doesn't hold up anymore, but to be fair he is in his 70's.

Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
i loved every second of it, cant see him and not be aware of how massive he has been, that is genuinley a legend.
The stuff with the crowds was nice, and i thought the pub gig was fantastic , especially for those having a drink and seeing him.

My daughter was at school for a while with Stella .Paul insisted in sending his kids to the local school in Rye rather than paying for them to go private. This was an attempt to keep them grounded.A great idea but I wish Paul would stop singing his voice has long gone.

Wasn't arrogant when I met him - mind you, that's 46 years ago now.LoveCurryPies wrote:McCartney is a really easy target to mock. But there’s something fascinating about him even though he comes across as arrogant.

Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
Watched this again tonight and enjoyed it so much, so emotional. Yes his voice isn't as strong as it was but having loved most of the early
original stuff it doesn't matter to me. Its about stepping back into a time and a place, and you, and how it made you feel at that moment.

I was in that pub a few weeks ago, but the barber shop/flower shop/Sgt Peppers Cafe are all about 25 metres from my partner's house. We got some texts to say they were knocking around Penny Lane that day, but I thought they'd be further down towards the centre, not right round the bloody corner!martin_p wrote:Annoyingly was just 50 yards away from that pub..... 24 hours later!
Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
Seems great the only real problem is he has very little musical talent.

of course not, Mcartney, the most influential twentieth century pop music composer and writer of songs everyone in the western hemisphere is familiar with, has very little talent.KRBFC wrote:Seems great the only real problem is he has very little musical talent.

Ignore it. It’s classic trolling.ClaretTony wrote:I'm not the biggest McCartney/Beatles fan but have I really just read this?
Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
He has musical talent in terms of playing an instrument but his singing is horrific and he was very much a backing dancer in The Beatles.ClaretTony wrote:I'm not the biggest McCartney/Beatles fan but have I really just read this?

Watched it and enjoyed seeing Paul McCartney but James Corden is such a knob that it spoiled it somewhat and his tears seemed false to me.

Re: Paul McCartney carpool kareoke.
Must have been a great day for those present, but at the end I felt it was a bit over the top and I felt somewhat sorry for the way Macca was being exploited by Corden (although he didn't seem to mind too much).
However, this isn't relevant as KRBFC has decided Sir Paul is devoid of any talent

Not a big fan of McCartney but you really cant argue about the talent he has. Just watched this and it was superb, if a little contrived at times.
