Aberdeen friendly

Post by piston broke » Sun Jun 24, 2018 9:07 pm

Just discovered that Aberdeen are over here and playing Cobh Ramblers on 30th June.
Probably training at Fota Resort. I’ll go all Jeremy Bentham and get in to see what I can learn and how far I can go to disrupt there sessions. A stall selling triple fried chips and deep fried Mars bar could be an enticing prospect for them.
Rams are having a poor season so the match won’t be up to much. Full report to SD by 1st July.

Well I didn’t bother going, thank goodness I’d have been lonely, it was moved to the training field at Fota Resort.
Aberdeen won 1-0. This is a very poor showing against the current Rams.

Mate, don't read too much into friendlies. Everyone knows that. It's all about dusting away the cobwebs after simmer holiday, bud.

Game played over three thirty minute periods owing to heat.
As others have said all about getting match time just now in pre season.
Reckon probably only six of those that started the game likely to start first leg against you guys.
Managed to give debuts to four players, keep a clean sheet and win the game.
All in, not much more could have hoped for.

On separate issue, got my ticket for home leg, just need one for away tie now.
Enjoy the summer and see you three weeks on Thursday lads.
