Commenting on players we are rumoured to be with linked with is all well and good, but I haven't seen many alternative suggestions regarding targets would could consider.

We seem to have our Centre Back eggs firmly lodged in a Dawson shaped basket for this window, but if it doesn't happen who else could we look at?

I quickly pulled these links from Sofa Score, because they give a very basic idea of player performance on the right of the screen. Obviously, this information shouldn't be considered over and above any first-hand knowledge gained from actually watching and following players, but I think the links constitute a good lead off point for discussions.

Moving on from this it might be an interesting idea if we actually had an ongoing thread where we could discuss players that have caught our eye over the course of each season. With fans from all over the globe, who don't just watch Burnley play, we could generate a pool of knowledge relating to players and articles/information associated with them.
