Buying match tickets for others when they reach general sale/for home games also gives you points, it's points per ticket rather than game. Also think friendlies do countBensMee wrote:I have reviewed my loyalty point history as a result of the Aberdeen ticketing requirements, I have 7000+ so should be ok for Day 2, however, I have had an ST for 15 seasons so 5250 points and then a further 2500 which I would say is about right as I do 75% of away games plus cup games etc.
Reading through this thread I see people talking of points in excess of 10,000 and i wonder how have they reached these figures? By my simple reckoning if the system is now entering it’s 15th season you can have 15 x 350 plus 4 PL seasons @ 190 points/season and 10 C’ship seasons @ 230 points per season which gives you 8310 points, if you then assume say an average/season of 5 extra games cup ties/friendlies (not sure if pre-season games count) that is another 700 points so 9000 would be around the maximum.
Maybe, I’m not fully aware of how the points system works but would appreciate if anyone could enlighten me.
But then that's 400 fans on high loyalty points missing out on the luck of the draw which could go to someone who never attends away games? The fairness of the loyalty point system as it is comes from the fact extra points on top of season tickets are mainly amassed through away games, so generally it should be those who go on the most away games who are at Aberdeen (I'm on over 6000 so may or may not get one myself)UpTheClaretsFCBK wrote:Personally think they should of put a percentage on sale for just season ticket holders with no points required.
Maybe 20% and the other 80% on the system they’re using now.

YesBensMee wrote:Does that not mean it is an Incentive System rather than Loyalty System?
It’s not. If you book more than one ticket for a game it is limited to 10 points. You used to get points for friendlies but that doesn’t happen now.Tuddybfc wrote:Buying match tickets for others when they reach general sale/for home games also gives you points, it's points per ticket rather than game. I'll be there with or without (more likely) a ticket.cutsy123 wrote:There will be a thousand on the ale with no tickets
Oh ok my mistake. To be on the amount of point you're on I take it you've barely missed a game home or away since the system began?ClaretTony wrote:It’s not. If you book more than one ticket for a game it is limited to 10 points. You used to get points for friendlies but that doesn’t happen now.
Systems like this are in place for the games that are over-subscribed. It isn't about whether one person moans and another doesn't. It's about treating the clubs fans fairly and with respect, and not making genuine loyal fans into some kind of second, third, fourth, class citizen based on buying behaviour 15 years ago. Of course there needs to be some kind of priority, but there are fairer more relevant ways of doing it.jrgbfc wrote:How many games were massively oversubscribed last season? By my reckoning Manu, Huddersfield and Arsenal? Even games like Liverpool and City made it to general sale I think. The way people are talking you'd think getting a ticket for any away game is absolutely impossible. I won't get a ticket for Aberdeen despite following us home and away regularly the last 20 years and watching some absolute rubbish, but I'm not ******* and moaning about it.
As will be our party of 8, although I'd be shocked if some, if not all get a ticket to watch the game one way or another.Barry_Chuckle wrote:I'll be there with or without (more likely) a ticket.
This may never happen again in my lifetime!
Away games don’t really count for much, 10 points each.Tuddybfc wrote:But then that's 400 fans on high loyalty points missing out on the luck of the draw which could go to someone who never attends away games? My point was that away games are the main way to amass extra loyalty points (although you're right it isn't many, I think it should be more than 10, or based on distance/time of kick off for instance) so those with the highest points will have been on many away games and had a season ticket for ma y yearsUpTheClaretsFCBK wrote:Away games don’t really count for much, 10 points each.
You can go to every away game and you get less points for that than a season ticket, despite it costing x 3 more and taking much more of your time.
I’ve been to 2/3 of away games since 13/14 when I came home from living away and I’ve nowhere near 8,000.
It’s also the case that unpopular away games have all been added on to my Dads Clarets number instead of spreading them across all four of my families Clarets numbers.
Im sure I’ll be okay to get a ticket when we play Bournemouth again on a Wednesday night again, like last season though.
"The return leg is scheduled for Thursday, 2nd August. Tickets for this game are due to go on sale on 9th July, with season ticket holders given SIX days to purchase their seat. From Monday, 16th July all seats in the stadium will be on general sale. Further details will be announced in due course."Murger wrote:Any idea when tickets for the home leg will be on sale?
One year at least it was 500 for a ST and there's little bonus's like Everton away last year being 50.BensMee wrote:I have reviewed my loyalty point history as a result of the Aberdeen ticketing requirements, I have 7000+ so should be ok for Day 2, however, I have had an ST for 15 seasons so 5250 points and then a further 2500 which I would say is about right as I do 75% of away games plus cup games etc.

BensMee wrote:Ok, so you only get 10 points no matter how many tickets you purchase for a game and friendlies no longer qualify, then i still am struggling to understand how people can have reached 10,000+ points?
Are points awarded for other purchases or for Foundation Membership?
I remember getting 1000 loyalty points for purchasing a season ticket during an extended early bird period years ago.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:There was a season where people were offered bonus points for getting a season ticket, which was more than the usual 350 points, but I can't recall how many points it was or which season it was for.

To be honest that system will sort out the real fans, none of this I was at the Hereford game, no it would be a straight forward are you prepared to put your money down on the line to watch the team.paulatky wrote:Fairest way is to sell by price

No. Awaiting the tickets from Aberdeen.whentheballmoves wrote:Do we know the day of sales starting yet?!

Already been explained. The reason there are no sale dates yet is because we’ve had no confirmation from Aberdeen as to when we might receive the tickets.thatdberight wrote:10 days since the draw. No either/or in the draw. Club based in the same country, both clubs play in the other's country reasonably often. No language barrier. Travel easy - no passports let alone visas. It wasn't a criticism of Burnley. It was just an observation.ClaretTony wrote:Already been explained. The reason there are no sale dates yet is because we’ve had no confirmation from Aberdeen as to when we might receive the tickets.
We’ve already sorted them out for the second leg because we’ve sorted out their tickets in the cricket field stand.
I believe we wanted the ticket sales to have already started. This delay is certainly not our club’s fault.
It was clearly being critical. I was merely re-confirming that we can’t sell the tickets yet because we don’t have them.thatdberight wrote:It wasn't a criticism of Burnley. It was just an observation.

Only if you start with that assumption. It was entirely factual and neither levelled criticism at nor assigned responsibility to any individual or organisation.ClaretTony wrote:It was clearly being critical.
