Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
I gave up today - I wanted 3 Aberdeen tickets and 2 friendly tickets. Logged in and there were about 100 tickets automatically in my inbox for all the people in my friends and family. I couldn't find any way of selecting the 7 tickets I wanted or deleting the others other than one by one. After about 20 minutes of deleting them one by one, and still having got virtually nowhere, I packed it in. I'll have to go down and order them at the counter.bfcfan1882 wrote:Not having any luck here.
3 home games automatically in my basket – all reserved seats for myself and friends and family season ticket holders.
Try to clear basket to just buy mine – no option to choose your own seat.
Try deleting entries in the basket to just leave mine – basket empties itself half way through. Log out, log in – full basket again.

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
Why does it seem so bloody difficult to carry the relatively simple act of buying a ticket,
for crying out loud ?
To be fair, we had no difficulty on Monday morning in purchasing our two seats, along with
a "non season ticket seat" in close proximity for a non season ticket holding mate.
Admittedly we have the luxury of being able to attend the ticket office in person, but
in this day and age, this should not give us any advantage over non local residents.
The confusion and difficulties highlighted on this thread is mind blowing tbh.

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
But you didn’t state in your question that you wanted to buy for someone with no Clarets number. You can buy multiple tickets from one Clarets number, but the extra tickets must have a number associated with them, friends & family etc.aggi wrote:I phoned on Friday and asked if you could buy multiple home tickets with one Clarets Number and was told you could (I repeated it back to them to check).
Maybe your question didn’t contain enough information, therefore the answer you got also lacked information?

Sales suspended online due to “technical issue”
Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
In the interest of balance, I bought my seats easily on line but couldn't buy Cricket Field Stand tickets on line for family with Clarets Numbers, following advice good and not so good on this thread I phoned this morning and bought the tickets easily.
I am a grumpy old bugger at times but credit when it is due, no complaints with the ticket office over this sale.

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
No, I was very clear on what I asked. The girl I spoke to went away and asked someone so I would have hoped they could have given the correct answer.RammyClaret61 wrote:But you didn’t state in your question that you wanted to buy for someone with no Clarets number. If it was just that it would have been annoying but hey ho. Once you add to that the website not working initially (but no updates), no-one answering the phone (I phoned a number of times before discovering that you could just set up a new Clarets Number and buy using that without any validation, which obviously defeats the point of having to buy using a Clarets number), initially having a load of tickets in my basket and not being able to get rid of them until I deleted all the friends and family on my account, stands being sold out online but not on the phone, etc then you've got to question the competence of the department and those making the decisions.
Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
I seem to have had most of the on-line issues of everybody else. Having tried (and failed) to get through to the ticket office can I suggest that someone (Claret Tony maybe) with a contact at the club asks them to put an update on the website. I suspect that they are overwhelmed with enquiries.wilks_bfc wrote:Sales suspended online due to “technical issue”

This is actually on the Burnley facebook account so there is at least an acknowledgement that there is something wrong.wilks_bfc wrote:Sales suspended online due to “technical issue”
Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
If the club are trying to encourage online sales they need to get this right. An old timer who doesn't live in Burnley probably just won't bother now.

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
When I added the tickets to my basket it added tickets for all friendly games for myself and 2 other linked members. However it was offering a discounted price. The Aberdeen game was shown as £7.50 when purchased in a package with the friendly tickets. I’m not interested in the friendly games but seems like there was an initiative. Have I missed something?
Only took me about two minutes to remove the unwanted tickets so I plowed on.

It was announced that friendly tickets are £15 each or £15 for both games (£7.50 each)Rileybobs wrote:When I added the tickets to my basket it added tickets for all friendly games for myself and 2 other linked members. Ah cheers. I thought it was the Aberdeen price that was reduced. My mistake.wilks_bfc wrote:It was announced that friendly tickets are £15 each or £15 for both games (£7.50 each)

Just out of interest is Aberdeen away still a 10 point away game award for Loyalty Points. Just looked back over my history and doesn't appear that pre season friendlies give any loyalty points either, unless someone can correct me on that.

They certainly used to. Maybe not in recent seasons.SloughClarets wrote:Just out of interest is Aberdeen away still a 10 point away game award for Loyalty Points. As someone who has previously stated that the 'ticketing system' in it's current format is not fit for purpose, it's nice to see others agree.
This 'powerful', 'great' ticketing system (used by the likes of Chelsea some say), has been thrown together.
Tickets tend to go on sale earlier than the advertised time.
Loyalty points are not always required (even when it says they are).
Error messages such as "Customer 10**88 only has <<<loyalty points>>>" should not be appearing, and wouldn't if tested properly.
Spelling mistakes (as below) can be fixed in seconds - clearly not tested.
Tickets are randomly added to your basket for friends and family.
Friends and family randomly disappear from your account.

The spelling mistake is also the source of your third point - if you look at the error message, you'll see it too says "loyality" and attempts to reference a field called "loyality points current".IAmAClaret wrote:As someone who has previously stated that the 'ticketing system' in it's current format is not fit for purpose, it's nice to see others agree.

Tickets also go on sale late as well as early but that's nothing to do with the system, that's an operational issue.

Are you saying the system is unable to schedule ticket sale periods? Again, that's basic functionality missing if so!thatdberight wrote:The spelling mistake is also the source of your third point - if you look at the error message, you'll see it too says "loyality" and attempts to reference a field called "loyality points current".

And does that mean that "Brenda" in the ticket office is sat watching the clock (which could be fast or slow), before clicking a button to start the sales?
'Corner shop' approach strikes again!

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
You're right, I'm assuming it can schedule sales start times. Given how widely used that system is, I'd be amazed if not. My assumption is that they choose to do it manually. I'm reluctant to criticise individuals. I've worked in situations where my customers (internal) got a crap service and the reasons were tedious, complex and often related to decisions taken a decade previously.IAmAClaret wrote:Are you saying the system is unable to schedule ticket sale periods? I get the choice of seats when I just tried now. don't think that works on mobile version though, just proper desktop site.diamondpocket wrote:is it not possible to pick the seat number and row, etc, online? Only stand and area?
I assume they'll be lots more seats available next week when goes on general sale, a lot currently blocked pending uptake from season ticket holders of their seats?

Thanks Dublin, first time user buying tickets online but eventually found by clicking on the area/block that it brings up the seat selection option. I only used the drop down boxes on the left initially.Dublin7Claret wrote:I get the choice of seats when I just tried now. don't think that works on mobile version though, just proper desktop site.

Next problem is it won't accept my credit card details as it says it isn't registered/correlated with my profile/details. It is a foreign card, don't know why. Anyway, think i'll just get parents in Burnley to go and get them.

Re: 2018/19: Burnley v Aberdeen – Ticket Information
Question about collecting tickets:
Do ypu think on collection of tickets the will ask for ID of both ticketholders? I ask as I'm trying to get a ticket for someone using another person's clarets number. I'm a little afraid they may ask at the ticket office for ID on collection of tickets so they can check and match clarets numbers with said bought tickets.
I would register this register this person for a first time buyer/clarets number but they have disattivated this function it seems coz I can't register them.

I never got asked for I.D but you don't get a match ticket it just uploads the game to the season card to use on the daydiamondpocket wrote:Question about collecting tickets:

Bought 2 today but was not asked for ID. The ID requirement is only for fans buying the away tickets.

I'm buying from abraod and my clarets number details have abroad address so I'm assuming this is why they only gave me the COLLECTION option when buying tickets. My worry is that when I collect them they ask for ID of the 2 people that correspond to the clarets numbers.aggi wrote:I doubt it as they are also posting them out. Or just get them delivered
It's years since I've been to collect tickets, Always got parents/ friends to do it but none can this time.
Do they just give you the tickets in an envelope with your name on? Or will they give me a card with them uploaded on as mentioned in a previous post?

Leisure, did you buy with 2 different clarets numbers? Online, it is giving me only this option.Leisure wrote:Bought 2 today but was not asked for ID. The ID requirement is only for fans buying the away tickets.

No, I couldn't do it online as the system is set up to limit tickets to 1 per membership number. I bought them at the Ticket Office.diamondpocket wrote:Leisure, did you buy with 2 different clarets numbers? Online, it is giving me only this option.
