The size of a ten pound note

I went into a shop recently to buy some chewing gum.

I gave the person behind the counter a ten pound note. They asked if I'd anything smaller.

"No" I replied, "My other ten pound notes are exactly the same size".

They didn't mean that, they meant have you got maybe a pound or even a fiver.

And now they are plastic they don’t shrink in the wash.

Its always a stupid question anyway. Paying taxi driver £4 with a £20 note. “You got owt smaller”. “Yes Ive got the correct change but quite fancy having 16 £1 coins in my pocket :roll:

I had a mate who used to tell me he was making big money unfortunately it was about a millimetre too big.
