Euston station will be closed that weekend could possibly have a knock on effect throughout the capital's
rail network

cheers for the heads up. I'll be in Birmingham that weekend and was hoping to come down by train - provided it sticks to a Sat 3pm

The Chiltern service to Marylebone is a viable solution from Birmingham.

There's an alternative Birmingham to London train route that goes to Marylebone. Slightly slower (but usually cheaper).

Euston Closed for Fulham game

Anyone making there way to London via Euston for the Fulham game will need to find alternate routes.
Euston is closed for three days over the bank holiday period

People wanting to travel from Burnley could look at getting the train to Leeds and then heading south to London. Trains to Kings Cross and St Pancras available there.
Or get to Brum and Chiltern Line into Marylebone as already suggested

And the Chiltern option is diesel loco hauled for anyone interested in that kind of thing (just me then)
