Neymar
Bellend of the highest order. The play acting has been shameful all round this world cup but he just sums up everything that is wrong in the game.

Red card? Rubbish. No force applied onto his ankle at all, it was barely touching from what I saw. Rolling around was more likely to cause an injury

Re: Neymar
not a stamp Frank, he stood on his ankle yes, but not a stamp. And I agree it was IMO a red card, but the theatrics from Neymar are uncalled for and are ruining the game. I cant wait for him to have a genuine injury (leg break for example) and for the players around him to not give a f#ck because he's always crying wolf - and yes, I do mean that, he is a cancer in the game and he needs stopping.FactualFrank wrote:I'll ask again... did you miss the stamp on the ankle? I didn’t see a stamp...I saw a big fanny roll around like he’d just been 2 footed by Roy Keane and Razor Ruddock and was nursing a triple fracture of both legs. At least acknowledge that Neymar was play acting though, because he was. The red card was warranted because a rule was broken, not his ankle.FactualFrank wrote:Thank you.

Correct and the Mexican player also stood on the Linesman or 4th official when he caught Neymar but I didn't see the official roll around like he'd been shot!claretrobo1 wrote:Red card? Rubbish. Any play acting doesn't remove the fact it was still a red card. I can only assume people are drowning that fact due to his rolling around. But it's still a red card, regardless.

Re: Neymar
Surely a ‘stamp’ implies he really put some high pressure and force onto his ankle to inflict pain? From the replays, it looks like the studs feathered his socks at the most. A proper stamp is like Bikey on Blake in the play offs, which is a red card all over. Can’t believe people are being fooled by Neymar’s acting

It's not just this game frank. He is like this in every game and its spreading like wildfire in the sport. It sickens me that kids look upto him and idolise him. He isn't fit to lace Brazilian Ronaldo's boots. Whether or not it was a red i dont care, its debatable anyway. Its the reaction.

A few minutes ago we had thiago silva rolling around on the floor after the attacker dared to nudge him. This is a centre back for Christ's sake. A lot of players in this world cup ought to be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.

Re: Neymar
If it had been me stamping on somebody's ankle he certainly would not have been on the field to lay on the second goal, particularly when you look at how easy it would have been to really hurt him in the position that he was sat!

Re: Neymar
Wooahh.... people are arguing about whether it was a stamp or not. That is not the issue! Can you not see that?
The issue is what actually happened. He walked over, picked the ball up and stood on his ankle. THAT is the issue. And an ex-professional referee has also said it was a red card. Because it was.

FF - Watch the incident again. The front of the Mexican's players foot goes onto Naymar's ankle and the heel of his foot goes onto the foot of the official's black boot.

So a 2 in 1 job? I don't see how you can do that by accident. You'd know your foot was touching something so move it.Leisure wrote:FF - Watch the incident again. And it's not just me. Like I say - Clattenburg has also come out and said it was a red card.

When ever in the history of this planet has somebody hurt theirselves and rolled around. Why pretend your hurt and roll?? It makes no sense. Cavendish doesn’t roll about when he brakes his arm or Schumacher didn’t climb out of his car and roll about.

Neymar has been an absolute disgrace this WC. In between him being a total, cheating tw4t he is obviously a good player. I was begging one of the Mexicans to go through the back of him when they'd gone 2 nil down. Just to give him something real to cry about.
Oh and, yeah, it was a red card. Not a stamp but you can't deliberately make contact like that and stay on the pitch, especially with VAR reviewing it ......... oh, maybe you can!?
But let's not be in any doubt, Neymar is a tw4t!

taking out of the equation neymars play acting...todays press of the studs ( not stamp ) was a clear red card....right decision....but for his record of play acting I would give him the benefit of the doubt on the rolling around....as we all know, a relatively inocuious tap in the wrong place can hurt like a bstrd.....but I have had hidious pain in my life without ever ever rolling around on the floor....

Just received a text from my 15 year old grandson saying "What is Neymar playing at granddad? He is diving around all over the place and pretending he is injured, he is beyond a joke and a disgrace to the game" --I gave him a favourable response and told him not to even think about playing the game in the Neymar way.
