Whatever anyone said about the first half, no complaints about the second half here so far...

I seem to remember a similar comment from Kevin Keegan in a world Cup a few years ago.Buxtonclaret wrote:Only one side going to win this now.

Nah, this is new momentum from Vertonghen's jammy goal.Rick_Muller wrote:There it is mate

Re: Belgium vs Japan
Japan seem feeble at the back in the air. Fellaini towering above em.
Far more powerful.

Yes, that's probably the basic problem.IanMcL wrote:Not feeble....A foot shorter!
Actually, it's pretty academic who goes through, Brazil will see em off.
Even with that infantile dickwipe Neymar.

Re: Belgium vs Japan
I'm sure we all felt it coming.
Why oh why didn't they take a short corner when they have no aerial threat.

Pass of the world cup from de bruyne absolutely perfect.
Re: Belgium vs Japan
Unlucky Japan
Belgium have looked crap in every game so far. Id be amazed if they can get past Brazil and (probably) France.

I said before our game against them that we would be watching the finalists, and I’ll stand by that.

Re: Belgium vs Japan
The best thing about Japan in this world cup is the look of disbelief when they score. They are just so happy! 'I can't believe I've scored in a football match! At the World Cup!'. That kind of honesty/innocence is such a change from the European shysters.

Re: Belgium vs Japan
When Japan went 2-0 up I posted, "Brazil - Belgium quarter-final". I edited it due to the clowns that have been posting recently. I shouldn't have. I was once again correct. Ahh man. Japan pressed in parts extremely well though.

We've got to get past Colombia, Sweden or Switzerland & then Croatia first!Rick_Muller wrote:I said before our game against them that we would be watching the finalists, and I’ll stand by that.

Cracking game from start to finish would have liked extra time at least to see how the Japs would have coped.

If you have to lose, then to a goal like that is no disgrace.
