I think there is one resident who has a radiogram and he has agreed to tune into the BBC World Service at about 5pm on Saturday so they can give out the result

I very much doubt it, none of the pubs are sports type pubs. The sports and social club will have it on but its members only.
Todmorden will have a few pubs screening it and the Dusty Miller in Mytholmroyd possibly.

They'd only screen it in Hebden Bridge if Jethro Tull were doing the half time entertainment.

Not sure about football but they do a great range of moleskin trousers

Has the op ever been to hebden Bridge? It’s really not the type of place to watch any sporting event. A gay rights parade yes, a labour rally yes, a football game no.

If you want some proper football atmosphere for Saturday's game, stay on the train and get to Halifax.

Last time I went to Halifax for football we ended up battling in lumps.

Should be on in the Old Gate, decent pub. Not the cheapest though.

Trades, Crown, Old Gate, and the Railway should all be showing the match. The best bet would be the Hebden Bridge Sports and Social Club on Albert St. There might be a nominal fee for non-Member entry, but the beer’s cheap(for Hebden), and the locals are fine enough.

I'm in hebden bridge myself on Saturday was planning on watching it at the sports and social club. Didn't realise it was members only. Last time I went in there I just paid 50p or something stupid like that to get in.

There were fights after the game last night in Mickleover which is a posh suburb of Derby. The Police came and closed all the pubs.

That’s why you paid 50p to get in.

The Trades have got the biggest screen in Hebden. It'll be rammed though so get there early to get a seat.

Wouldn’t let a group of lads in on an outing last weekend- something to be mindful of if there’s a number of you.

It is being screened in the White Lion, around the corner from the town hall, but why anyone would willingly go to Hebden Bridge is beyond me, horrible town.

Apparently he can't now, one of the valves has gone and he can't get it replaced in time.

The Trades is possibly the best independent live venue around. It's my favourite venue to watch live music and if you want to buy a subscription it's only 26 quid per year. A sub gives you discounts on food and drink at the venue ( plus you will be supporting a fantastic live music venue)

Looks like they will have to wait till 5.15pm to find out the result....when the Sports Pink comes out

Ha ha. I used to catch the bus home from Burnley after the match and by the time I got back to Rawtenstall the SP chap was stood in the doorway near the Picture House. I used to buy it and see if I'd enjoyed the game.

Trades Club is one of my favourite music venues along with The Brudenell in Leeds.

I like Hebden Bridge. There, said it.
