An excellent signing, Durham's loss was Lancashire's gain, will be a bit sharp for Lancs League batters.

Good bowler but has sadly been unfortunate with injuries.

Seems to be having a good season for a struggling Lancs team. I wonder if he's back on England's radar.

Edit: just seen that he's 35 so probably not. Didn't realise he was that old.

In June 2013, Scotland played Durham in the old 40 over Tournament, leading to the following scorebook entry...

Coleman Ct. Mustard B. Onions 0 ! :D

Don’t think he’s that quick. He’ll certainly nibble it around though.

I don’t think the fee will be a problem for Lowerhouse with the amount of people they’ve encouraged to attend various events over the last few years.

As it is Graham had to pull out following a late call up to play his first T20 game in 4 years.

In respect of paying over the odds, he was no more expensive than the standard sub pro “I just want to bowl plenty of overs mate, keep me ticking over”.

From the LHCC FB page:

Morning all, you may have noticed that last night Graham Onions played for Lancs in their win at Derbyshire. That means he’s unavailable today but we are delighted to say we have Walkden’s Akbar ur Rahman in our game against Burnley! #UTH

Oh I don't doubt it for a second Ziz, but if we are going to lose any game of the 3 we play this weekend, this would be my choice, even though I hate losing to Lowerhouse.
Much rather win tomorrow in the Worsley Cup semi at Tod, to follow last nights 20/20 quarter final win.

You must be getting used to the feeling of defeat at the hands of the House by now BRR.Nothing beats a win against Burnley on their own ground.

Sadly you are right LR, but I can console my self with the DECADES of Poorhouse CC being in our shadow. Hopefully we'll get chance for revenge in the Worsley Cup final.

Oh yes you mean those decades when you had to qualify to play for a club by being born or live or work within a certain distance of the ground. The crucial one was work. This meant Burnley could play all the university educated solicitors, accountants and other professional people who worked in the centre of Burnley.Superhouse could call only on the foundry labourers at Butts & Dicks good lads but only had 2 bats and2 boxes between them.

So,lowerhouse CC could only call upon the honest yeoman of foundry workers at Butts & Dicks up until 2004, when you eventually won a trophy worth winning? The thought of poor Stan Heaton (or even my own brother to my eternal shame) shoveling coal into a blazing furnace has reduced me to tears!

There was a factory in Burnley called Butts and Dicks. Please, please, please let there be photographic proof of this. (Yes, I am a child).

Anyway - how's the Worsley Cup going? Are we on for a Lowerhouse-Burnley final? Where is the final this year?

One, the same as Burnley, unless you are counting former full time Lancs League pros as pros in which case we will be playing two.........the same number as Burnley.
