Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
Hi all, longtime lurker, first time poster...just wondering what folk think the home crowd will be versus Aberdeen?
A sell out or will people save their money for the next round?

Think it will depend on the 1st leg result.PuddingChipsandPeas wrote:Hi all, longtime lurker, first time poster...just wondering what folk think the home crowd will be versus Aberdeen?

Also crowd could be subject to any TV coverage, should be close to a full house though, first European tie in 50 years after all.

Re: Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
I'd be surprised if we got that big of a crowd on. Bang in the holidays so many will be away. Equally if the tie is pretty much over after the first leg (either way) and it's on the telly this will drive down demand.

Re: Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
It’s a tough one to call. When you look at some of the crowds Bolton and Blackburn got in the competition, both whilst charging considerably less than we are charging fans for this fixture, it might make you think twice.
Bolton Wanderers
V Sporting Braga, 10,848
V Aris Salonika, 10,229
V Zenit St. Petersburg, 15,905
V Sevilla, 15,623
Blackburn Rovers
V Trelleborgs, 13,775
V Olympique Lyonnais, 13,646
V Genclerbirligi, 14,573
V F.C. Basel, 13,789
V A.S. Nancy, 12,568
V Myllykosken Pallo-47, 13,490
V F.K. Vetra, 11,854
Blackburn mainly sold tickets at around half the price of a normal league game, but had one or two as low as £5.

If you don't have a season ticket you will probably end up with a sh*t seat even if you've got several thousand points. Such is life

Depends on whether they count the Bob Lord as a sell out. Because pretty much all of that stand wont be available to Burnley fans.

Re: Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
We asked only last Thursday if there was a "spare" non season ticket holder seat
near to ours in The Bob Lord Stand that we could purchase for a mate of ours who
is not a season ticket holder.
There is one within three or four seats of ours and we can buy it at the same time
that we buy our own seats tomorrow. There was no mention of the non-availability
of any or all the seats in there.
Could be an error, but most likely a load of llobocks.

Re: Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
I stand to be corrected then. Dont shoot the messenger.
Perhaps I may have misunderstood / misheard / been misinformed and its for the group stages.
Both the Bob Lord and exec boxes will be significantly affected.
Assuming its group stages then if people can buy for Aberdeen.

Re: Aberdeen at home - a sell out?
UEFA rules for Europa League:
64.09
For every UEFA Europa League match, the clubs undertake to provide UEFA with the following numbers of complimentary tickets to the VIP area, for UEFA and partners:
a. Group matches: 90 with hospitality and 32 without
b. Round of 32 matches: 160 with hospitality and 43 without
c. Round of 16 matches: 160 with hospitality and 43 without
d. Quarter-finals: 275 with hospitality and 37 without
e. Semi-finals: 275 with hospitality and 47 without.
UEFA may purchase tickets without hospitality at retail price, but is not obliged to take its full quota.
64.10
This number of tickets and hospitality passes must not exceed 10% of the VIP area seating capacity. In such a case, any difference must be offset by tickets (including hospitality) in the highest category. All such tickets must be in one block, in a section located between the two 16m lines. Upon request, clubs must locate up to five of UEFA’s VIP ticket holders in the best possible seats next to the UEFA match delegate and/or the club’s highest level executives (for example, the club president or chief executive officer).
So no seating demanded until it reaches the group stages.

What are the 16m lines please ?
The 18yd box is 16.5m, so I assume it's that.
