Re: Worsley Cup Final
Shame it clashes with the football, otherwise I would have gone.
I went to Tod yesterday to see Burnley win through to the final - and it's fantastic to see the two local clubs make it through to the final for the first ever time. Let's hope it is a fantastic day, weather wise, for the final and, from a Burnley perspective, a much closer game at least than Saturday's league game between the two clubs.

I'll be on the Turf for the football and so I'm going to give the Worsley Cup a miss given it starts at 12:30. Would be half way through by the time I could get there.

Oh, as soon as the date for the Cup Final was announced there was never any doubt. Friendly vs One of the biggest matches in LHCC history? No contest.Hopey wrote:Your in big trouble Mr, if you even contenplate the football over a visit to The Brooks - country membership/honorary citizenship may even be revoked.

Are Burnley likely to play their big guns?
We wouldn't want another walk over for Lowerhouse now, especially as they have approached Joe Root to be sub pro that day.

Where does it say special offer? The league set the prices. The family ticket as stated is to ease congestion at the gate. Four people walk on with one ticket.Quickenthetempo wrote:I did smile at that one.

Re: Worsley Cup Final
I haven’t been to Lancs League cricket for a while...
Is it 50 overs a side.. or something else?
Is it likely to sell out.... will all tickets go?
Is the clubhouse the only place to buy alcohol on the day, or will other bars be available?
Thanks.

It will/probably will sell out.
50 overs a side.
We have many a can bar and possible pop up other bars dotted around the ground.

Yes there will be plenty of additional bars selling cans and also draught beer hopefully including real ale.
Ticket sales already touching £1,000 3 days in.
Let’s hope Joe Root says yes.

Re: Worsley Cup Final
It is brilliantly set up by Frank Enty and his team. Several places to buy food and drink around the ground plus the club has its own resident ice cream man!. They club will also be providing extra stewarding seating and extra toilets around the ground. All the things you would associate and expect with a large event.hampsteadclaret wrote:I haven’t been to Lancs League cricket for a while...

It is hard to say whether all tickets will go as the ground effectively doesn't have a capacity. I would say the best way from experience would be to buy a ticket in advance but pay on the day will be an option but will probably involve queuing. For a team of volunteers LHCC handle these events superbly the annual bonfire night being a casing point.

I've purchased 2 tickets via paypal this morning but haven't had an email yet from the club. Assume I can collect them from an outlet using the paypal email as proof of purchase?

On a serious note for sub pro's, I see Nathan Buck has tweeted his availability for Saturday if you're stugging.arise_sir_charge wrote:

I'm sure Haggers would recommend him from his game at Padiham.

Re: Worsley Cup Final
He have 1 Hospitality Tent left.
Hospitality Tents. Our famous tents are back they seem to have been adopted by a number of clubs over the subsequent years since 2004. Package costs for 12 persons for £300 are as follows:
A dedicated tent (3mx 3m) with reserved seating for 12 guests
Providing a fantastic view to watch this showpiece event.
12 Match day Tickets
12 Cup Final Programmes
10 chilled cans per person (120 total) choice either Fosters, Strongbow or John Smith’s
Additional seating, beer/wine offers and or buffet’s available at additional costing.
For a hospitality tent, payment needs to be paid to Keith Fairclough by 15th July in cash, or you can secure with payment of credit or debit card at the club. Contact Adam on 07568590822 preferably by text or Whatsapp to confirm!
