Shame it clashes with the football, otherwise I would have gone.

I went to Tod yesterday to see Burnley win through to the final - and it's fantastic to see the two local clubs make it through to the final for the first ever time. Let's hope it is a fantastic day, weather wise, for the final and, from a Burnley perspective, a much closer game at least than Saturday's league game between the two clubs.

I'll be on the Turf for the football and so I'm going to give the Worsley Cup a miss given it starts at 12:30. Would be half way through by the time I could get there.

Are Burnley likely to play their big guns?

We wouldn't want another walk over for Lowerhouse now, especially as they have approached Joe Root to be sub pro that day.

Where does it say special offer? The league set the prices. The family ticket as stated is to ease congestion at the gate. Four people walk on with one ticket.

I haven’t been to Lancs League cricket for a while...

Is it 50 overs a side.. or something else?

Is it likely to sell out.... will all tickets go?

Is the clubhouse the only place to buy alcohol on the day, or will other bars be available?

Thanks.

It will/probably will sell out.

50 overs a side.

We have many a can bar and possible pop up other bars dotted around the ground.

Yes there will be plenty of additional bars selling cans and also draught beer hopefully including real ale.

Ticket sales already touching £1,000 3 days in.

Let’s hope Joe Root says yes.

It is brilliantly set up by Frank Enty and his team. Several places to buy food and drink around the ground plus the club has its own resident ice cream man!. They club will also be providing extra stewarding seating and extra toilets around the ground. All the things you would associate and expect with a large event.

It is hard to say whether all tickets will go as the ground effectively doesn't have a capacity. I would say the best way from experience would be to buy a ticket in advance but pay on the day will be an option but will probably involve queuing. For a team of volunteers LHCC handle these events superbly the annual bonfire night being a casing point.

I've purchased 2 tickets via paypal this morning but haven't had an email yet from the club. Assume I can collect them from an outlet using the paypal email as proof of purchase?

On a serious note for sub pro's, I see Nathan Buck has tweeted his availability for Saturday if you're stugging.
Lancs/Worcs 2nd team fast bowler.

I'm sure Haggers would recommend him from his game at Padiham.

Sponsorship packages now online

On the 5th August 2018, for the first time in 93 years of Lancashire League Worsley Cup Competition, the towns two premier cricket clubs, Lowerhouse and Burnley will go head to head in the final at the Brooks Foundation Ground, Lowerhouse.

This is an opportunity for the two clubs to maximise their position enhancing the future of local cricket in the town! Early ticket sales are brisk and we expect a crowd to eclipse the previous record, set by Lowerhouse in 2004, over 3,000 people.

To this end we are seeking assistance from local businesses!

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities available, both small and large and we ask that local businesses offer whatever support they can to play their part in this very special occasion.

The opportunities available are:-
  • - Multiple Match Ball Sponsorship – £25 – Each Contributor will be acknowledged online, on social media and will be acknowledged in the match day programme. We get 25,000 visitors to our website a month. We have 7500 Twitter followers, 2600 Facebook fans and 1100 followers on Instagram to give a scale of exposure you will recieve.
    - Board / Banner options on the day – £100 bring your own banner,
    - £250 we will Source and Supply. Banners will stay in situ for the remainder of the 2018 season. All Contributors acknowledged online, social media and in the match day programme.
    - Programme Adverts – £50 per half page – All Contributors also acknowledged online and on social media.
