Re: COME ON BURNLEY!
Kin right...
Dragged into the hype, against my better judgement, and where do I end up eh? Skriking into my pint, wondering why I ever thought this lot could bring there own fuckin baggage home let alone the World Cup.
I can live with the defeat, it’s the manner of it that irks. From the minute tripps scored we were second best in every department, and when we are up against it like that, your captain should show. Sterling gets some pain, and a lot of it is justified, but he was far more effective than Kane tonite.
Second best, and not even a close second.

I'm devastated as well but what makes it worse is the racist comments from my so called Welsh friends, the very ones who have allowed me to teach there kids to Academy level. How sad.

Don’t share that thought nowhere near as bad as the clarets losing for me. That Spurs semi final defeat took me day to recover from!cricketfieldclarets wrote:As an england fan. Who has followed them all over europe. I never thought england losing could ever feel as bad as burnley losing.

Day or days? Either way i think it will be a long time until im over this. sure i wont be ****** off when season kicks off. But when will i get the chance to see us with a genuine chance of winning a world cup again. Minimum 4 years. But who knows realistically.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote:Don’t share that thought nowhere near as bad as the clarets losing for me. That Spurs semi final defeat took me day to recover from!

Cricketfieldclarets I was 6 in 1966 but sadly can't remember anything about it. What's the chance I will see it in my lifetime. I never thought I would see BFC in the premier league and never thought I would see us qualify for Europe. Can we still dare to dream ?

Re: COME ON BURNLEY!
Don't find myself that bothered about the defeat, proud of the England team and what they did for the mood in the country the past few weeks.
But I have to say I am buzzing about Burnley kicking off the season on the 2nd of August, way more excitement about that than England last night.
