One thing Bin laden would have done is paid his license fee, he wouldn't want to risk going to jail.

Sheila Coombes Frome Stop War... shared a link.
Craig Murray, former UK Ambassador to Uzbekistan was recently vindicated for his reporting of UK's complicity in torture. This was after years of vilification and attacks by government and media alike. Today he writes of the Trump/Putin summit:

"The entire “liberal” media and political establishment of the Western world reveals its militarist, authoritarian soul today with the screaming and hysterical attacks on the very prospect of detente with Russia. Peace apparently is a terrible thing; a renewed arms race, with quite literally trillions of dollars pumped into the military industrial complex and hundreds of thousands dying in proxy wars, is apparently the “liberal” stance.

Political memories are short, but just 15 years after Iraq was destroyed and the chain reaction sent most of the Arab world back to the dark ages, it is now “treason” to question the word of the Western intelligence agencies, which deliberately and knowingly produced a fabric of lies on Iraqi WMD to justify that destruction."

His last paragraph concludes: "The war-hawks who were devastated by the loss of champion killer Hillary now see the prospect of their very worst fear coming true. Their very worst fear is the outbreak of peace and international treaties of arms control. Hence the media and political establishment today has reached peaks of hysteria never before seen. Pursuing peace is “treason” and the faux left now stand starkly exposed."

None of that has anything to do with this. You have to be more subtle with you efforts to deflect if you're going to be successful.

Have a watch. Rachel Maddow is probably the most respected news anchor in the US and her and her show's team have been brilliant on the Russia story for a couple of years now. I've watched her show for about 8 years now and i can really only ever remember one misstep that i'd knock her for (she once described having one year of Trump's tax summary as having his tax returns).
She came to my attention when she tore Obama to pieces in about 10 minutes over 'prolonged detention'

Anyway: here, watch her opening from last night. It's near perfect.

"Bin Laden's hidden mountain fortress!!!" You can only laugh at people who can think up things like like that. He was hidden, alright. In plain sight.

Which the intelligence services figured out. You know. Those ones who shouldn't ever be believed because 15 years ago a handful of them, with the aid of an evil VP lied the world into a war.

You have to admit, IT, it's a very artistic interpretation of something that is totally implausible. Colin Powell has a lot of blood on his hands. He was the so-called moderate in a bunch of war-mongerers. Why is it never mentioned that Saddam Hussein was once America's greatest ally in the Middle East? Was that because he went to war with Iran, and lost?

Now he's making up business relationships. Maybe he's getting confused because one of his alter-egos that he used to write into newspapers or call radio shows to praise him was also called "Robert Mueller".
And he's also pretending that he considered Mueller for Comey's job. Funny how it took him so long to mention that.
