Goals!
Stating the obvious I know but I was just checking out the stats and our 4 main strikers have 31 goals between them from 125 appearances.
Apart from Vardy they are all young and will improve but this year, in the last 4, France had Giroud, 31 in 81, and Greizmann, 24 in 61. Belgium had Lukaku with 40 in 75 and Croatia had Mandzukic with 33 in 89. All of these were backed up by goal scoring midfields also.
two years until the next tournament but we need goals badly.

I thought we struggled 4 years ago when we didnt get out of the group and in 2010 when we only managed to score 3 goals and win 1 game. This year I thought we did ok

Creativity is the big problem and we will not score a lot of goals from open play until we find a Modric or someone of his ilk.
If we do find someone, and it is possible that a couple of the lads that won the World Cup at Under 20 level last season will step up to the mark, then they need to be playing for their clubs on a regular basis because that is hwo they will improve and not by sittin on the bench or being loaned out to lesser lights which Chelsea seem to do.

We had the players with all the technical abilities in this world Cup but they lacked the physical attributes to complete at the very highest level.

We struggled because we played the tournement with one recognised midfielder on the pitch (Henderson, who is average) plus three number tens, Sterling, Dilly Dally and Linguard getting in each other's way, hence no real service to the Golden Boot Winner.
