Aberdeen home, is ANYBODY going

Very slow ticket sales for this game, loads available all over the ground. thought it would be close to a sell out by now with the amount of complaints there has been with fans not being able to get away tickets.

Thursday night
On TV
Holidays
Expensive tickets
Not a priority for board / manager / players, possibly a similar feeling for the fans.
Our record/approach to cups.

Makes it no more of an attractive fixture than the Leeds league cup game last season.

Depends on the result of the first leg, if we don't field a full strength team and make an effort I'm definitely not going to make an effort.

Got mine, and I’m a huge Dyche fan, but if this game is tossed away like the other cup games (Leeds, Stanley, Lincoln etc), it is time for him to go. I can’t believe he will.

This is a once in a lifetime season.

Got mine and nephews ticket last week.

As above - hope we take it seriously but the closer it gets i’m not holding out much hope of us going at it properly.

I'll be there as always, but sadly I'm expecting us to get turned over as I'm far from convinced this is being treated as the priority it ought to be.

But it isn't a priority and neither are any domestic cup-ties. That's been made quite clear over the last 5 years.

Yes and not everyone agrees with it.

The last two seasons have seen us on the beach with games to spare. We could have put more into the cup competitions.

To fans it is - the whole buzz at the end of last season of getting into Europe seems like it’s just being fizzled away to stay in the Prem again already.

Will it still be a tour if we go out in the first round against Aberdeen?

We milked getting into Europe so I expect (demand ;) ) that we take it seriously. This isn’t the League Cup, this is something that required an exceptional season to achieve.

If we go out there with some disjointed second string with a Walters-Wells strike partnership or something, it’ll beg the question: What was the point?

Abso-bloody-lutely! Tickets sorted and flights booked. Seen us in all 4 divisions, Europe be the icing on the cake. Regardless of opposition or how many attend, I for one can't wait.

2-3 weeks until the game.

1st leg hasn’t been played.

It will pick up in the final week by quite a way.

How can you expect fans to be excited when all signs point towards the manager not really giving a toss about it?

“As I said last weekend we will respect the Europa League, while remembering that the a Premier League and our growth within it remains our number-one focus”

Taken from Dyche’s programme notes v Bournemouth, soon as I read that my personal thought was I hear these words from other managers who say they respect the FA and Carling cups and then make wholesale changes. I do hope that we “give it a go” to try and get through the qualifying rounds but my fear is we make many changes from our “starting eleven” and go out early.
That approach can suit say Arsenal or Chelsea who have more strength in depth and will in all reality qualify for Europe next season but for us this might be our only European experience in my lifetime. If we do well and go deep in the competition it could be a real feather in the cap for Dyche to get himself more widely noticed.

You enter a league to win the things on offer and in our case it is the title, Champions League qualification and Europa League qualification. We won the latter now let’s gave a go and all those not on holiday or working get down the Turf to cheer the boys

This is true, however the Burnley ( "soft spot for United/2nd team" ) fans and just "Man United fans" would make sure it was a full house.

It's only a guess, but I don't think Aberdeen have as many world wide or local fans to help swell the crowd, I could be wrong though.

Some people may just be giving the 20k of fans that missed out on the away leg tickets priority, it's a nice touch.

making the trip from Portsmouth, got to see the clarets in Europe!

another to see us in all 4 divisions, and couldn't get away tickets (no grumbling), plus went to Scotland for the Judas pre-season.

somehow my dad got us tickets and they're in row 3, don't know how he's been sold them as the best 2 available.
