Who was it who said we won’t make any money from the Europa League, with Individual TV money, prize money and gate receipts surely we should make some.

In the scheme of things for a club of our turnover, we'll make nothing.Dy1geo wrote:Who was it who said we won’t make any money from the Europa League, with Individual TV money, prize money and gate receipts surely we should make some.

If its on TV, £25 a ticket is looking a big mistake

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
It was always almost certain to be televised, was just which broadcaster would take it. I find it hard to believe that a price of £25 would put people off a first European tie on the Turf in 52 seasons.Lancasterclaret wrote:If its on TV, £25 a ticket is looking a big mistake

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
TV games at full price never work well CT.
Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
It is steep at £25, agreed it wouldn’t put me off but for some that’s quite a price for one game when they’ve shipped out several hundred pounds for a season ticket alreadyClaretTony wrote:It was always almost certain to be televised, was just which broadcaster would take it. Agree. If you are not prepared to pay an extra £25 to watch an extra game that has come around once every 50 years it's a bit pathetic.ClaretTony wrote:It was always almost certain to be televised, was just which broadcaster would take it. Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
Great, as I'm on holiday I don't care what we charge.
But the point still stands, prices are normally reduced when games are televised.

When did we last reduce prices for a televised game? Must be years ago.Lancasterclaret wrote:Great, as I'm on holiday I don't care what we charge.

Not looking likely is it. Days ticking by.ClaretTony wrote:That’s up to Aberdeen. They haven’t announced anything yet.
This home leg has been in the listings for a number of weeks.

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
I'd seen it on the listings but it still wasn't confirmed. I initially didn't know how it worked in the qualifiers but it is the home club who chooses it's broadcaster so we have no say on the first leg.Bordeauxclaret wrote:Not looking likely is it. Days ticking by.

Isn't £25 a reduction on our normal home match ticket prices anyway?

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
My season ticket costs me roughly £18 per match so why is this game £7 dearer for the same seat ?

Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
Because on a season ticket you are getting a discount on 19 home tickets. This is a one off game. I should imagine if we do get to the Europa proper, the club will release a three ticket bundle at discount to the £25 per game level they've set.RocketLawnChair wrote:My season ticket costs me roughly £18 per match so why is this game £7 dearer for the same seat ?
Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
I imagine if we make the group stages with a couple of well known teams in our group that it'd be higher than te current £25, if we win threw to play a big team in the play off i imagine it'd increaseClaretJimmy wrote:Because on a season ticket you are getting a discount on 19 home tickets. Re: ARTICLE: Aberdeen home game on BT Sport
Maybe so, depends how well sales go for the three potential play off games. All group stage games are broadcast on BT Sport so if people are staying away to watch at home/in the pub then you'd imagine the club would do some bundle to get bums on seats.bumba wrote:I imagine if we make the group stages with a couple of well known teams in our group that it'd be higher than te current £25, if we win threw to play a big team in the play off i imagine it'd increase

Its very strange this forum. Multi Millionaire Ben Mee can ask for even more wages and people say we should consider it. Poor old RLC asks for a few quid off a ticket and gets shouted at..

If that's directed at me RLC I'm sorry. I'm just of the opinion that £25 for European football at TM isn't bad. CheersRocketLawnChair wrote:Its very strange this forum. Great news. Theres an Irish bar in Dubrovnik, that will probably have it on, especially if I smile sweetly.

As you go.e in from the sea , it's about the 4th alley on the right, about 2/3rds up the hill going inland. Just searched Google maps , but couldn't find a name for it.
