Pope better than Alisson and Ederson

I must admit that I'm not fully convinced but this (rather stats heavy) article suggests it's a possibility

Opinions, eh! I thought what I saw of Ederson last season was better than what I saw of Alisson at the world cup

Some people are getting a little carried away with Pope. He's a young man learning his trade. Yes he did very well for us last season, the icing on the cake being called up by England but let's be realistic. He needs several consistent seasons with us before any big move. He's a long, long way short of being anywhere near the quality of Ederson.

Does he? Why? How many had Ederson had before his €40m move?

That comparison puts Pope as the best keeper at stopping goals and literaljy streets ahead of Pickford. He is better than Pickford at short and much better than everyone at penetrating the final third, accurately.

He should be England's keeper without a doubt! Southgate has literally just gone with a player he had at U21, rather than the best in all departments!

Nick Pope- best in the world to be!

Personally my view is that those long ball percentages are boosted somewhat by the fact that there was always one big man and usually two to hit. Launching long balls at Gabriel Jesus is somewhat different to Ashley Barnes.

Exactly do all these stats take into consideration the 4 guys in front of him (usually 4) the defence, surely that influences the stats to a large degree as 1 keeper is likely to be busier than the other. Don't really rate stats with goalkeepers unless it's spot kicks 1 to 1 scenarios.

If our second best keeper is better than brazils first and second choice weve come a longer way than I thought.
