How do guys,

My mums sent me some photos from when my grandad used to manage a Sunday league team called Trinity, I remember them being a decent side won quite a few trophies but with me being only young when these photos was taken I only recognize my grandad and my uncle david, thought it would be nice to share the pictures with you lot to see if any of you know the faces.

Only one I know is Jimmy Ostle. Remember his picture on the wall at St Mary's with the Dorian Cup. His brother Billy was also in the picture.

I remember Billy and Jimmy Ostle as kids down Stoneyholme before they moved to Ightenhill, they lived on Brougham Street. Mark Gaughan now sadly has dementia.

I played against that team in the first photograph and remember most of them, but especially Jimmy Ostle, Dave Allen, Pete Kay, Steve Bird and Jimmy Allott.

A good side, but not unbeatable !!

The guy on the far left second row in the third picture looks like Paul Allen. I worked with him for ages at Main Gas before he became a postman. He used to run a lot of marathons as I recall.

I wasn’t a footballer but recognise Dave Allen from the top photo, he worked in the stores at BEP in the 80’s, really sound bloke
