My two favourite test matches that aren't on the list are when Tuffers bowled the Aussies out at the Oval in 97. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkwILLlOWXQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and when Jimmy and Monty blocked 9 overs out in Cardiff for the draw. I was in the clubhouse at Padiham CC and I think rain had interrupted the game so every came in to watch. The cheers got louder and louder every ball they survived until the last was like a goal scored on the Turf.

5th Test, The Oval 1968. No photos made as much impression on me as a young fan.

I'd have to say Trent Bridge 2005 as I was there on the last day to see us win it.

Headingly 81, my earliest memory of cricket and my first heros in Ian Botham and Bob Willis.

Been a few unforgettable tests.
Braindead has one nailed above.

But my own is at OT, August 1990.
Sachin walks out to the crease with India creaking.
Recall a brief conversation with my mate about what to do in Manchester that afternoon, because we genuinely thought we'd have them long before tea.
He'd already made 50 in the first innings, but Tendulka saved the test and scored his maiden ton, hitting the ball all around the ground with an amazing maturity.
Been lucky enough to see some brilliant batsmen, including Lara, Richards, et al.
But for me, Sachin is the greatest of my lifetime.

Greenwich at OT in the 80's was something to behold!

Not as boring and tedious as posting on a message board thread about a sport you have no interest in! But thanks anyway.

I share some memories with people already posted. Some of my favourites are to do with circumstances & who I went with rather than just the games themselves. My favourites are wins v Australia as I saw us being hammered by them so many times in 90s.

AS per Quickenthetempo- I have very fond memories of that 1997 Oval game. My 2 kids were staying with me and we went on the Sunday (?) of the game. England had already lost the series & looked like losing this with Oz only needing 120 odd in the last innings. Tuffers & Caddick hit purple patches and it just got more & more exciting & Oz were all out for 104. My kids (14 and 12 then) had to stop me running on the pitch at the end- something they're apt to remind me of still.

And another already mentioned (by Thefamilycat) v Oz. Last day at Trent Bridge 2005. Again, took my grown up kids & their partners. We stayed pubbing in Derby on the Saturday & it looked like there wouldn't be much of a game on the Sunday with Oz 260 behind first innings and down to 160-4 on Saturday afternoon. I was actually hoping Australia recovered and we had a decent game to watch on the Sunday. As it happened they set us 129 having batted to Sunday morning. Course, it was a real nail-biter chasing those & we got to 7 down before Hoggy & King of Spin knocked off the final runs and put us 2-1 up with 1 to play.

Melbourne test 2010 2nd day, just retired & my first visit to Oz staying in Sydney with my lad. At 1-1 in the series, we flew down to Melbourne Boxing Day. Before the flight took off we knew it was Oz batting Day1 and @ something like 40-3; turned out to be c 80-8 when we landed & they were all out for 98 (4 for Jimmy, 4 for Tremlett). Watched the England reply that day on a screen in a casino and we passed their score with no wickets down (can anything get better than that). Watched us (thanks J Trott) grind them into the dirt on day 2. We won that game by innings + 157.

Cricket is a great game to play & watch and very family friendly.

Some obvious choices Headingley 81 Botham,Lords 90 Gooch's treble hundred, and a hundred in the second innings,Kapil Dev saved the follow on with 4 successive sixes off Eddie Hemmings in that game,Jimmy's 500th at Lords against the Windies,Ather's 185 unbeaten when he batted for the best part of 2 days to save the game mainly with Jack Russell for company, can't forget Lara's two triple hundreds in Antigua 1994 and 2004.For pure drama though it has to be the 2005 Ashes series and reclaiming the urn after 16 years of hurt.
