Apologies Selby you are right. Calf injury, assuming that’s why he came off at half time against Preston.

Good job pope came back yesterday

I’ll be surprised if Pope plays. Aside from the 20 mins he got vs Costa Rica, he hasn’t featured in a game since May and has only just started pre-season.

I don’t think Pope will have been just sitting on a comfy World Cup bench for those 8 weeks and let’s be honest a keeer doesn’t have to be “running fit” to play a game

Nick Pope at 50% is a better option than Adam Legdzins.

Terrible news for Tom if true.

He will have his work cut out to replace Pope now. This was his chance.

If both of the other England keepers had picked up an injury at the WC recently we would not have flown in Hart. Pope would have stepped in. He would have trained for weeks and been up to it

For people to say he is not ready to play in front of a back four with whom he played over 35 times last year is ridiculous

Maybe but I have a sneaky feeling had Pickford and Butland both got injured Southgate would have brought in Hart and played him ahead of Pope. Guess we'll never know though

Hi DA, it didn't happen.... But, if JP and JB had both been injured, GS would have called up his reserve keeper - if WC regs allowed. Tom Heaton was the guy on reserve.

Now, if a flaky hair condition was the cause of the injuries, JH may have been called upon... who knows.

Dont be fooled by all you read. I have inside info and Hart was the real third choice and Pope going was just a media PR exercise

No keeper and no flight  lets admit it. Dyche hates cups.

Popes been fit for the world cup.
Heatons been fit since march.
Flights have been fine since september 2001.

Its obvious. We dont take cups serious and we are more scared of istanbul than the suicide squad.

My mate who is an Orient fan laughed when I said we had signed Legzdins. He said Cisak was miles better. Not as though he’s got age on his side either.

I've just seen on " Twitter " that Andy Farrell's been pulled away from coaching the U23's, and was last seen speeding up the M6 ....
My nephew's best friend's step dad's Boss's Cousin was in the Club shop this morning, and saw them printing up a Keeper's Jersey with " Farrell " on the back, with the squad number 39 on it !!

I take it some on here are expecting Aberdeen to get a shot on target?
Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Ward. It ain’t happening.

Tom picked up his injury pushing the plane. Somewhere around Penrith.
