RED TV - Aberdeen

Post by cutsy123 » Thu Jul 26, 2018 9:15 am

Live stream to be shown via their TV channel

However, if you want to secure the ability to watch this, with a guaranteed good quality stream check the below link

https://www.afc.co.uk/2018/07/25/aberde ... -on-redtv/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Watch online, or HDMI it to your TV from a laptop

You need to register before 6.45pm and pay for 1 month (£5.99). Just remember to cancel the subscription from your account tomorrow, or it will auto renew in a month

If anybody has PLEX with us, it is to be shown from the LIVE SPORTS section on RED TV anyway. This is a precautionary back up incase the worst happens at kick off (touch wood)

Hi cutsy, what time does the programme start? Hoping to watch on plex but would like to leave enough time to register for Aberdeen TV if the stream doesn't work for whatever reason.

Server guy has advised 10 mins before kick off, and it will kick in on PLEX

I've paid the £5.99 as a precaution just incase as a one off. Ususally though as you know it's top draw on PLEX

Someone told me the game was available on BT Sport via the red button tonight? Can anyone confirm? Otherwise I'll be taking your advice as usual cutsy.

No BT Sport involvement from what i gather, until next week.

They've just announced the RED TV thing officially, once they knew they'd sold the majority of their tickets

Checked on BT and the game isn't available tonight, only the 2nd leg next week comes up as available to watch live.

Not a bad idea. Plex is usually good if there's more than one channel showing the game but as there's no fall back I think it's a good idea to pay the £6 as a back up.

Yes mate. It's Aberdeen's own channel, as it is with Celtic & Rangers

Could net Aberdeen a fortune in SPL terms this red tv match!! With I guess around 16,000 who would like to watch say between 8-10k register somewhere between 50 and 60 grand in the coffers. happy days.

Usually when there's an unexpected rush to see something everyone logs on around the same time and the servers and admin can never cope.
If there's a way to avoid this site then I'd prefer the alternative free one!

The Red TV does stream the matches for their international subscribers each week so hopefully they have some experience of what is required.

The only streams will be from people streaming RedTV (it isn't on any other channel) so if that isn't working then the streams won't be working.

Exactly. They will have 1000s of watchers weekly for their games beig streamed as do the celtic and rangers club streams with more fans than aberdeen.

Im sure they are decent enuf to cope for a few thousand burnley fans. Wouldnt surprise me if the club are using this service or similar for the turf

From the site:

Payment
REDTV uses Stripe for its transactions. After you have paid you will receive confirmation from Stripe. You can cancel payments at any time either via my account page, view subscriptions option and then cancel subscription option.

Signed up for a month, screen mirroring from my mobile to my TV and just watching the interview with their manager in HD on my 50 inch screen. If the live stream is as good then we need to send ClaretsPlayer developer to be educated at Red TV.

Can't remember exactly who but some former Aberdeen player is the summariser so expect very biased commentary, gets underway at 19:25

Edit: Just checked and summariser is Derek Young.

I just subscribed and paid then cancelled instantly, its basically just stops auto renewal, you still receive your subscription for the month.
