Soft penalty.
Don't think it was one at all.

It’s as far away from a penalty as you could imagine.

Wasn't even a foul, Cosgrove threw himself down like he's done the whole half and the Ref bought it.

Hey Ho. Not like we've been anygood. Lennon only player thats remotely shown up so far... and thats only cause he's trying.

We really do struggle when teams drop off us, probably due to our lack of creativity in the middle.
With this being the case, I'd just bring Vokes on at half time and get early crosses in from deep from Ward and Lowton.
Nobody has gambled and been in the middle when Lennon has drilled his crosses in so I'd get their centre halves back peddling to clear with early balls in rather than allowing them to set themselves for an easy header away.

That was never a penalty in a month of Sunday's, I'm not sure Tarky even touched him...

We need to get Lennon and JBG on the ball - they're pretty much our only creative options.

Lets not panic , Sean will sort it out at HT and we will score at least one goal and that will be enough for the 2nd leg . Have faith lads .

An appalling 45 minutes from us but how the fk was that penalty? We need Wells on for one of the midfield 3.

We are just getting into our stride. It's understandable to be a bit rusty. The second half will be much better.

We've got to come out second half and move that ball a hell of a lot quicker, get Lennon and JBG facing their goal.

Crap first half, but very typical of our cup performances under Dyche so no surprise.

Very reminiscent of the Lincoln game this, to me.

Thankfully it’s over two legs, and if we could somehow escape tonight with a 1-1 I am confident we could be ok.

What we need to bear in mind is that the reality is we need to be at our peek for the first game of the Premier league not this. This is a bonus of sorts.

It has to be one of the most embarrassing penalty awards I've ever seen tbh. Seen it numerous times and I've no idea what it's been given for. That's the problem when you see the European game refs, every game they try to make a name for themselves. It happens to far bigger teams than us, still no excuse for that first half performance though, pre season or not

I really hope they aren’t thinking like that, I certainly aren’t. This is a huge deal to me.

Not having that.
Really don't think we need to up the quality that much to get something out of this tonight.
And it's bloody well important we do!

Well this is what usually happens so if we haven't scored Sam will be on and then maybe Walters as well.

Making them look a v good side. If only we could have drawn Lincoln Red Imps. Think we'd look good against them and we'd have had a nice trip to Gibraltar too.
