Can't believe how many people are saying we were poor. We certainly were not good for the first 30 minutes, but after that we controlled the game, 11 attempts, 4 on target and a 1-1 result away from home. Give the players a break.

easy for us now back home, i thought we were good, especially as its first proper game.
i liked that mackay henderson, the pen scorer, said we should have gone in for him before celtic nabbed him, maybe they werent keen though, they sold him on too.

We were the much better team in the second half. I really can’t see them scoring at our place (which they will need to do). Gutted about Pope but Lindegaard’s save down to his left was top class.

Well done to all concerned a fair result. Aberdeen were always going to come at us from the start.
We were the better team for the majority of the game but I thought we looked vulnerable to quick counter attacks when Jack pushed forward in the second half. Class goal from the real Big Sam. All to play for UTC!!

Much better second 45 and a crucial away goal,we'll have to improve to make next week more comfortable though.Result came at a cost with Nick and ben's injuries :( ,wonder if Sam has earned a starting berth for the home leg.

Yeah, don't worry Miller, he seems to think it's cool speaking chav English and making a balls of it, no need for half of his comments. Does it in Italian as well and thinks we don't get it, most probably don't but some do ;) . Just ignore him or take this **** out of Inter who've done **** all for years apart the Mancini & Mourinho years over 10 years ago.

Turned out to be a good test for the Clarets. Aberdeen were really up for that game and looked a little sharper than we did.

Basically a pre-season game for us that , extra minutes under the belt and an away goal to take into the second leg with us.

I’ll do a 3 good , 3 Bad now just so it doesn’t look like I’m moaning after 1 competitive game :-

3 Good , Vokes impact - changed the game when he came on, love the guy personally.
JBG - everytime he gets the ball he pushes the opposition back.
Team ethic - never let their heads drop, kept
Plugging away, typical of us under Dyche

3 bad
Tarky was very sloppy tonight , which put us on the back foot unnecessarily.

Wood was awful, got away with it by nodding onto Vokesy for the winner

The lack of creativity is alarming when we are trying to break teams down. Could do with Defour back in the side ASAP, and the no.10 role could do with addressing with a specialist rather than using Hendrick in there.

Enjoyed that game. £120 million and your only creative forward player was Lennon. Why isn't your club spending any money on creativity in the final third? Makes no sense. Anyway, looking forward to the next leg. I expect you to go through but your campaign will likely end against the Turks..

Sam came to the rescue.

We improved in the second half but still many of our forward passes
were pretty poor and no one look sharp.
Still , 1-1 isn't a disgrace and we should be able to beat them at the Turf.

Hopefully one or two back for that game although potentially bad news re. Pope.
Hope it's not a repeat of Heaton's injury.

Because our two main creative players, Robbie Brady and Steven Defour are currently injured. You might have heard of them... One has 39 Caps for the RoI and the other 52 Caps for that little team called... Belgium

so....lack of squad depth much? You must be a bit worried about your league placing this year? Bottom half unless you add in some quality.

Maybe True, We've been looking at getting in another winger. But we're not a team that pays players to sit on the bench, we can't afford to do that. I believe our wage budget was the third lowest last seaon (don't quote me on that). Plus creative players in the Prem cost a lot more.

Bottom half? As long as its not bottom three I don't give a monkeys.
