Chris Sutton

Post by Hibsclaret » Fri Jul 27, 2018 4:42 pm

This waste of air was summarising for the BBC last night. How on earth does he keep getting work?

When you consider him basically laughing at Burnley being in Europe last season on BT sport you would hope he would have the decency to say no when asked to pop up to Aberdeen and report on our game. Parasites like him need to be removed from all forms of media... absolute clown

As someone who listened to 5Live, as I didn't want to be subjected to 'chav central' at the fanzone, I thought he was quite fair in assessments. He said the penalty was soft, and that our second half response was excellent.

Not a fan of his normally, but give me him over Jenas any day of the week!

To be honest both he and the commentator were very difficult to listen to last night because they kept prattling on about absolutely nothing. Why do they not just commentate on the game instead of trying to inflict their non-personalities onto whoever is tuned in!!

Pretty clear what he's doing. He's trying to wind people up to get attention.

It's what people do these days.

Just saw some of his comments on the BBC thread for the game TBH as I can’t listen to the bloke. He is obnoxious beyond belief.

As for Jenas he’s not as bad but still poor. During the World Cup pre the Sweden game he described Sweden as like a championship side one day and then the next day it was they are like Burnley.... another tool tbh

I listened to quite a lot of R5 broadcasting during the World Cup and I don't recollect the BBC reuniting the SAS (Sutton and Shearer) which would have been quite catchy. Have the two compadres fallen out?

Like all pundits, he's there to get a response and give the media what they want - interactivity with their audience

A few do this by have interesting points of view, some do it by talking twaddle. No mistaking which camp Sutton belongs to

Think it was fairly well known that they didn’t really like each other even during the SAS days.

Decent bloke is Sutton - not.

He was once invited to present the trophies to a junior football team when he was at Blackburn. Other Blackburn players had done it willingly and happily in previous years, Stuart Ripley in particular. This horrible man Sutton wanted £500 for doing it.

I usually quite like the Blackburn loving talkSPORT bloke, he usually does early mornings but he has been purposely pig ignorant the last few days. Switched him off tonight on way home from work.

The whole commentary was fairly sub standard, he must of mentioned Blackburn about ten times.
Then the constant mentioning of being at the world cup, neither knew what the penalty was for one said it was a push from lowton the other said it was hand ball from tarkowski. The commentator even got the scorer wrong. Sutton comes over as a right knob but revels in it.

Might as well have gone the whole hog and have Garner on there. I'd like to see him (Garner) at TM next week.

I listened to 5Live for the game last night. I did think that Chris Sutton said anything untoward.
