It hasn't lost Arfield in that respect as Dyche obviously deemed him surplus to requirements.

We survived half a season without Defour and Brady, plus Arfield was rarely played last season. We've lost Pope but hopefully we'll gain Heaton. Barnes is the only major difference to last season. We need him back as we missed him desperately last Thursday! I still think we need 3 or 4 players but they're not related to current injury concerns; we need a 4th CB, a number 10 and a winger. Anything else would ultimately give us too big a squad.

Doesn't matter whether Arfield was used or not, he was a capable squad player who could do a job if needed. Who do we fall back on if JBG or Lennon get injured?
