Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Paid £20 and optioned flights via Amsterdam last night with KLM so the price doesn't change.

Rowls lives in Montpellier in France, so he'll be flying from there.Dodobdobodobo wrote:How much and where from please?
Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Hey everyone. I am a Turk living in Germany for education but will be back in Istanbul on Wednesday next week. I can try to help you if you have any questions. Regarding the flights, I do not know the prices for UK flights but your best bet is probably Pegasus Airlines. The stadium is really outside the city center and it roughly takes 1.5 hours from Taksim to there, for example. I do not know if you have been to Istanbul before but if you can stay for 2-3 days, I'm sure you will love the experience.
As I have said, I can answer if you have any questions about the transportation etc. I also would like to watch the game in away section but I do not know if I can find any tickets (since I am sure you all would like to be there) and that might be unfair since I am not a Burnley fan either. Anyway, I would be up for some booze before the game.
Lastly, I hope you kick their ass, we all hate Basaksehir.

Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Just been down to the ticket office and they know nothing.....
I don’t know if I will be able to get a ticket as a non season ticket holder 6 days before the game....
The ticket office “we’ve only just got through and the bosses are having meetings”....
Shambles. Here’s me thinking they knew 11 days ago who we would be playing and representatives have been over there...

No real surprise we don’t have our act together. Would make too much sense to at least put preliminary plans in place.
Can’t wait to see the shockingly smal allocation we’ll either have taken or been given. My guess is less than 1000.

Poohdini, we will be flying into Istanbul Ataturk Airport. How far is the stadium from here and where is the best place to get a hotel and have a beer round this area?

I think we’ll sell them if they go on Clarets Number only yes but if they start messing around with high Clarets Number points less than a week away then no.
Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?

It should have been seamless this morning:1989_claret wrote:I think we’ll sell them if they go on Clarets Number only yes but if they start messing around with high Clarets Number points less than a week away then no.
General sale online with clarets number
Collect in Istanbul with your I’d.
Job done
We can all book flights then...
The ticket office intimated it would be Season ticket holders only......
Don’t worry about me I’ve only paid into the foundation for 20 years, had a season ticket for 20 years before that and don’t have a clue whether I can get a ticket.

Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Aberdeen is one thing. This is quite another.
Less time to organise and issues with the stadium being in the middle of nowhere.
It’s not about giving it a rest. The club infrastructure needs to match the quality on the pitch and it is lacking.
It’s all very well saying if you want one you will get one when the club was inviting people from Aberdeen who were refused entry to explain why the name didn’t match the ticket etc. The ticket office said season ticket holders only (probably) this morning.

Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Not sure if this is of any help to anyone but I've just received this message -
My name is Sinan working at a travel agency in Istanbul. We host many football teams and their supporters visiting Turkey and Istanbul. Burnley will play against Basaksehir next week. http://www.thedmcistanbul.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is the official website of the company. If you are planning a trip to Istanbul for the game we would like to assist you with your requirements. Best regards. Sinan
PS - I've just checked their website and they are legitimate.

Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
I am actually but I’m not sure if that’s relevant as I won’t be travelling to Istanbul as I can’t justify the cost or time off work. But we only qualified for this match last night, I think it’s fair that the club get more than a morning to make an announcement on the ticket details. Surely half a day isn’t going to prevent people from making plans.Hibsclaret wrote:I’m guessing you have season tickets with multiple points.

Surely they won’t start messing around with loyalty points with only a week to go. With the time and cost involved in travelling, I really can’t see us shifting more than a few hundred tickets.Hibsclaret wrote:I’m guessing you have season tickets with multiple points.
On the organisation point, the club(s) really should have had its ducks in a row for an announcement throw morning- no excuses. They haven’t even given a kick-off time!

The cost will be too prohibitive for many. That'll keep the numbers down to about 500 or so.1989_claret wrote:I think we’ll sell them if they go on Clarets Number only yes but if they start messing around with high Clarets Number points less than a week away then no.

All the fans who travelled without tickets, would have wanted one. No?
Lets say 500 fans didnt get one, or 50
2000ish tickets available. 2500 doesnt go into 2000 neither does 2050, or even 2001. To say if you wanted one you’d get one is plain daft

Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
Going to Aberdeen without tickets and going to Istanbul without tickets are quite different given the locations and safety issues in the countries. It shouldn’t be a free for all and it should be organised..perhaps some people like to know they have a ticket before they travel ( I.e. normal people).cricketfieldclarets wrote:I know plenty who went without tickets. Re: Who’s going to Istanbul IF we beat Aberdeen?
So the game will finish at 11pm, and the last metro is at 11:37pm. The metro station isn’t right next to the ground, and there are 1-2 changes needed, which may be after the the connecting service has terminated. Driving in Istanbul is not to be recommended.
Organised shuttle buses seems to be the only option, and needs to be for everyone, not just supporters clubs.
It’s tough, logistically, given the close date.
