LEEDS SIGN BAMFORD

Leeds have signed Patrick Bamford from fellow Championship side Middlesbrough on a four-year deal for a fee of £7m, rising to £10m.

A highly confusing transfer.
Leeds have brought in a much fanfared foreign coach who goes for a much travelled big time underachiever who he can't have seen too much of ...highish fee for someone with his record as well. Boro was thought to be his natural home but Pulis obviously can't have been over impressed.

He's played a total of 106 (mostly sub) games over the 7 years of his career that's on average 15 full and part game's a season yet he's been sold for a career total of 16 million.........WOW

They'll certainly be hoping that he can do as well he did for Borough in 2014-15 season. I think if he's at the right club and he's happy, in the Championship I think he'll do alright.

I think the recent hot weather and rumours of a hosepipe ban worked in Bamford's favour. Bringing in a natural water sprinkler who can flood the pitch and keep it wet with tears is a smart move. It could save them a fortune in pitch maintenance.

Blokes who communicate their feelings through tears, in response to heart breaking situations, are to be commended on their emotional strength and humanity.

Little boys who sit in their cars crying because the gaffer is being mean, instead of strapping on a spine and upping their contribution and performance to force their way into the squad, are better off at other clubs.

Really surprised by this, Leeds paying £7m to £10m for Bamford, the only bloke with windscreen wipers on the inside of his car. Their previous transfer policy hasn't been spectacular, but it has always been reasonably sound. Something of an expensive gamble this one.

And thats why we havni signed anyone. whats the point paying squillions for average players. we need to be cute. I would much rather get a joey barton type on a free than pay silly money for players who wont improve our team.

This thread reminds me of the Leeds response to our purchasing Chris Wood. ‘If he scores 10 goals I’ll have his name tattooed on my forehead’ being one.

Sometimes a manager sees something in a player or system that he thinks will work. I’d advise not gloating at this point, it’s likely we will get Leeds in a cup and Branford will undoubtably score for them.
