Looks neat, just like the white away one. I am disappointed that there’s no Claret and/or Blue incorporated into the design, mind.

I like it too. Might be the first shirt I have bought in a long time.
I like how the raglan sleeves provide greater room for movement. Could they use the same approach for the main body around the stomach area?

Re: New away kit
Can't see the picture on the forum as they still won't display, but had a look on the club's website.
That looks really good - not usually a "shirt buyer" but I think I will invest in that one.
Well done to the club.

Really like it. Got the last black one, so probably won't be buying it, though. The kids will probably want to get it!!!

Ben Mee also modelling it. Does that mean he is staying on ?
Re: New away kit
It's very nice. I might buy it, even with the horrible logo.
Re: New away kit
It’s a nice shirt, but doesn’t look like one Burnley should be wearing. It’s a no from me.

I really like this kit. This and the 3rd kit are so much better than the home kit. The monochrome sponsor logo and club crest make the sponsor blend in a bit more.

Need to see it in hand.
The pattern is a lot clearer than on the white one, which is a bonus, but I need to see it before I buy.

Very, very smart.
Ben Mee wearing it...
Signs new deal I reckon.
You'd have him no where near it otherwise, and had the arm band Thursday too...

Re: New away kit
Awful. I saw spurs new home shirt last week and thought how crap the faded blue at the bottom looks. This like wise. I understand if they want to make it look as though the shorts are fading into the shirt.
Not for lads.

Good! Although it makes it pretty pointless as a second strip.ClaretTony wrote:From what I hear we won't be seeing that much of it

Invest is a very appropriate word. Retro shirts carry a fortune. I think Im gonna start buying shirts of Burnley and other clubs and store them away.Funkydrummer wrote:Can't see the picture on the forum as they still won't display, but had a look on the club's website.

Re: New away kit
Places we may 'need' an away kit potentially (depending on your / the FA's viewpoint of a claret / red clash):
Man Utd - can't wear it
Bournemouth - can't wear it
Liverpool - yes
Palace - yes
Southampton - can't wear it
West Ham - yes
Arsenal - yes
Others where we can't wear it even if we wanted to from a marketing perspective (we actually could / should be in claret anyway):
Newcastle
Wolves
Fulham
Watford
All the other 8 games we could wear it but could also wear claret with mix of white or blue shorts / socks
So we potentially 'need' to, and can, wear it four times.......unless they wear it with the white shorts / socks from the third kit on occasion - which I can't be bothered working out the permutations of right now!

I’ll be having one... it will look well good with my black Levi’s, nearly black Gazelle’s, and my expensive Rayban’s on a sunny day..
Pity my once black hair has changed to a very different colour in recent years..

Re: New away kit
I really like it! But did Alan Partridge write the press release?
"....featuring an embroided Puma cat branding on the right chest and sleeves, is also enhanced by a tonal woven club badge and a stylised collar with tipped rib and buttoned placket."
The look? Sports casual.

Re: New away kit
For me both the white and black kits needed Claret where the black and white are on the cuffs and collar and badge respectively.
Too generic just change the badge and it’s any club, for me incorporating Claret makes it more specific to us.
Claret goes really well with both white and black too.

Re: New away kit
Interesting point, CT. Take West Ham out of the equation and there is no real need for a change strip. I'm fully aware that that will not be the case as there is so much emphasis these days on not just shirts but also clashes of shorts and stockings. It does, however, make me smile when it appears no consideration quite often is given to the referee's kit.ClaretTony wrote:From what I hear we won't be seeing that much of it
Just for one example, Newcastle at home last season and the ref was wearing same coloured shorts and stockings as them.
In season 2013-14 we played Nottm.Forest at home in the (League) cup and they changed to black shirts which in the 2nd half and under lights became sometimes difficult to recognise from our home shirt. A few months later in the league game they turned out in red shirts and throughout the game it was much easier to distinguish between the two teams. It seems almost 'nailed on' now that red and claret is a clash of colours but I'm not wholly convinced it is. Anyway, just another topic to muse over and discuss.

Expensive Raybans hey!
Do you also own a £4000 watch?
I also like this new shirt which is much better than the previous black shirt from a few years back which looked awful

Re: New away kit
The shirt is good, like it. Shorts and socks are phoned in though.
A bit of claret and blue mixed in.there would have been nice, but as it stands the shirt is a good modern one.

Re: New away kit
Great kit. Such a shame that any time we have even a touch of black on our away strip we usually get relegated.
