Please note at the expense of losing Vokesy, people just don't seem to realise what he gives us, I'd actually prefer to lose wood, he's injury prone and missing half of the time, plus the fact nowhere near the passion of Sam, yespecially wood gives us a few goals but no good if he's injured more than he's fit, it's not rocket science clarets.

I’ve said it before but will reiterate; I’m happy to progress with the strikers we have. I certainly don’t want to replace Vokes with Jay Rod.

Jay rod is certainly not worth 15/18/20 million,he hasn’t been the same since his awful injury and to be fair as others have posted he saw his career away from the clarets, the grass didn’t turn out to be greener on the other side, jay rod,Chaplow, lafferty, gray, little to name just a few decided to move and their careers have or did start to go down hill...Keane different kettle of fish yes his career has hit a wall but he was loyal until a huge bud came in...Once a claret always a claret(no breaks I’m afraid!)

When Little left us didn't he go to Reading and Portsmouth and play premier league football?Southernclaret wrote:Jay rod is certainly not worth 15/18/20 million,he hasn’t been the same since his awful injury and to be fair as others have posted he saw his career away from the clarets, the grass didn’t turn out to be greener on the other side, jay rod,Chaplow, lafferty, gray, little to name just a few decided to move and their careers have or did start to go down hill...Keane different kettle of fish yes his career has hit a wall but he was loyal until a huge bud came in...Once a claret always a claret(no breaks I’m afraid!)

What about Robbie and Jack Cork, though?
Cant remember the exact circumstances of their original departures, but everyone was bloody glad they came back.
So it can work both ways....

And Trippier. And going back a few years, Trevor Stephen, Michael Phelan and Brian Laws.ElectroClaret wrote:What about Robbie and Jack Cork, though?
