Not so sure, he was incredibly quick, just nipping in nicking the ball and he was off.RVclaret wrote:We made him look like Messi at times.
Him on the left and Lennon on the right could do some damage.

Apologies. Absolutely correct. His workrate tonight was brilliant. he had a much bigger impact when he was pushing the wing.bfc1984 wrote:You forgetting somebody? Jgb best of 3 of them.

Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
and if JBG or Lennon get injured......
Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
*Checks how long he's under contract for*
Nah, he's actually pretty shite. Played above himself. We've got a few players that are bang average but really performed well in the last two ties. Nothing to see here.

JBG is our best player at the moment. Can't wait for a fully fit Brady back too.
Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
We are getting desperate now if we think we should be signing him.

anyway, I pleaded for us to take interest in him about 6 years ago, and we blew it, so it wont happen thesedays because we dont sign players from anywhere it seems.

Imagine unleashing that on unsuspecting opposition this season.
Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
Thought he was brilliant in both legs. Oddly thought he has the look of the Emperor from the Star Wars films though, just me?

I'm fairly sure the players on the field tonight came from somewhere, didn't they?Wile E Coyote wrote:anyway, I pleaded for us to take interest in him about 6 years ago, and we blew it, so it wont happen thesedays because we dont sign players from anywhere it seems.

Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
That video up there was when he was a young precocious talent. Then the usual Scottish football thing happened, and Celtic signed him up and left him to rot on the bench.
We managed to grasp him from the bosom of evil, and we're trying to nurture him back to health. I think the best place for him right now is with Aberdeen. In two seasons, when he's back in full flow, then you're welcome to pay £15m for him. You might think it's a good deal to try and take him for free next summer, but personally I think that would be premature.
In all honesty, he has supreme talent, the only reason he's with us, is that he's very inconsistant. That's what we're working on with him. I would say you only saw about 80% of what he's capable of. On his game he's unplayable, even by Celtic (the Celtic that matched Man City).
tl;dr, Come back in two summers, after we've tied him down to a longer contract.

Thank you, brilliant summation of a player, you know your stuff.Illgresi wrote:That video up there was when he was a young precocious talent. Then the usual Scottish football thing happened, and Celtic signed him up and left him to rot on the bench.

Re: Gary Mckay Steven-Aberdeen, wish he was a claret.
I make it my prerogative to know about all our players. If you want a talent for the future, you might look at Ferguson, but I'd direct you towards young Campbell we had on our bench. That said, he's only 17 I think, and is a staunch Dons fan.Wile E Coyote wrote:Thank you, brilliant summation of a player, you know your stuff.
I think the main point I'm trying to make, is that we're financially stable, and don't need transfer fees. Unfortunately, most Scottish clubs aren't in the same position we are. That said, we went through years of agony to be where we are, and it's finally becoming worth it.
