Swansea sponsor
Just seen a pic of Swansea shirt with a tasteful looking Mod style bullseye target next to the betting sponsors name, would have much preferred that on ours.

Did they get paid the same amount?Pimlico_Claret wrote:Just seen a pic of Swansea shirt with a tasteful looking Mod style bullseye target next to the betting sponsors name, would have much preferred that on ours.

It's Bet UKPimlico_Claret wrote:Just seen a pic of Swansea shirt with a tasteful looking Mod style bullseye target next to the betting sponsors name, would have much preferred that on ours.
Airforce R-W & Blue Classic "Target".
I thought the same...
Better than our spon's logo.
Regardless of cash it looks better and if we have to have a betting company... ( which I'd rather we did not) ...

Re: Swansea sponsor
Just googled Swansea’s kit. Their sponsor’s logo is hideous. Far worse than ours.

Re: Swansea sponsor
The blue, white and red target bears no relation to the club’s colours, it would look even worse on a claret shirt. The black background to the logo looks extremely cheap and tacky. Again, it would look shocking on a claret shirt.Pimlico_Claret wrote:Which particular bit is hideous?
Our sponsor’s logo isn’t the best but at least it’s been adapted to suit the club’s colours. It’s subjective but I struggle to see how anyone thinks that logo would look even half decent on our shirt.

It’s black on their orange away kit too so I presume so. It’s horrible, can’t believe anyone thinks that would look good on our shirt.HunterST_BFC wrote:

It's black because the Swans wanted it black maybe?Rileybobs wrote:It’s black on their orange away kit too so I presume so. It’s horrible, can’t believe anyone thinks that would look good on our shirt.
The Bet UK logo is not so. Never has been.

Navy blue would be equally poor. That logo would look terrible on a claret and blue shirt.HunterST_BFC wrote:It's black because the Swans wanted it black maybe?

You are not grasping this are you?Rileybobs wrote:Navy blue would be equally poor. That logo would look terrible on a claret and blue shirt.
- the logo design can get designed to fit the shirt / team / club - while retaining the core comp logo etc etc etc.
eg this Celtic

Re: Swansea sponsor
I get it perfectly well, I just disagree with you. I think sponsors which have a solid background with text above look shocking - as they do on the Swansea shirts. It looks cheap and tacky. I’m fully aware that the colours can be modified somewhat to suit the club’s colours but how would that work on our shirt? The black background could be substituted for our light blue but then the white text wouldn’t be readable.HunterST_BFC wrote:You are not grasping this are you?

Then there’s the issue of the red, white and blue target which sticks out like a sore thumb and clearly isn’t adaptable to the club’s colour scheme. Like I say, it’s a hideous sponsor and I’m surprised anyone would like to see that on our shirts.

It could look a bit UKIP on a BFC shirt, (you do know I'm joking - I hate betting being advertised / normalised)
