Can you just stop it, please?
Singing 'Lancashire homes'.
Turf Moor is our home and the Longside was/is part of it. It's not about where you live, it's about our collective 'home'.
I realise that I'm moaning about something trivial, but please just stop it then we can all live (in our home) happily ever after.

Re: Can you just stop it, please?
It's been mentioned a few times before has this, but I've even heard people singing "In our Lancashire Rose".
That's before we even start with "Bertie Bee said to Bill Shankly" and "Till we play ******* Rovers" instead of "Will we play".
Now just watch people respond, claiming it's me that's got it wrong!
These will no doubt be the same people who sing at 1000 mph.

You can forgive some of them as not many under 40 will know who Bertie Mee is, and a lot would have grown up with us being behind the Bast*rds.
But the Longside of Burnley was/is in our home. Some of them must have very big houses if they've got a Longside in there.

Many won't remember the Longside either.
Over 20 years since it was bulldozed, isn't it?
However, if you're going to sing any song, you should get the words right. It's not difficult.

If you want to 'get the the words right' it's actually a song called In Our Liverpool Home!

In our Lancashire combs we speak with a sextant exceedingly scarce, the wrong side of curly willies in the air.
