Ben Mee Contract
LET says he is on the verge of signing a new contract. Fantastic if true. Do other people think this is happening?

Hope so. Very cautious optimism is about as good as it gets currently,I'm afraid.

Get the contract signed then get him on the bench and see if anybody fancies him.

Because he's a better player...he's committed to BFC for 4 years..and he's not playing games.

Re: Ben Mee Contract
Ben Mee has been here for years, has been a great servant to the club and is a terrific defender! Heart on his sleeve every game from Ben Mee and he would be a big loss to the club regardless of signing Gibson
Re: Ben Mee Contract
Dyche and Gibson have already expressed the competition for places and that he'll have to earn a place - I'd expect Mee and Tarks until something happens to warrant changing things.

Not if he's on the bench, he's not.fatboy47 wrote:..and he's not playing games.
But as for Mee, I don't think negotiating your contract and agreeing a new one when you still have 11 months left can really be called "playing games".

I'd agree if this new found willingness to sign hadn't wondrously appeared when a bit of competition rode into town.

Re: Ben Mee Contract
Competition never harmed anybody, won't do Mee any harm to know he is not a guaranteed name on the team sheet,if he signs that new contract great but either way we needed another CB this summer.fatboy47 wrote:I'd agree if this new found willingness to sign hadn't wondrously appeared when a bit of competition rode into town.

What is your point? Do you think a bit of competition comes in and he should run away?fatboy47 wrote:I'd agree if this new found willingness to sign hadn't wondrously appeared when a bit of competition rode into town.
He’s a ******* man and up for the battle for his place. Give your head a shake man.
