Re: Yannick Bolasie
How many games did he play last year? The one who tore up the PL for Palace would be a bargain at that price.
Can't see him dropping to the championship surely

What's he actually done (apart from draw a fat wage)?

Re: Yannick Bolasie
Was superb for Palace and Bristol City, but has looked bang average since his injury on the meagre occasions I saw him play for Everton.
I'd take him on loan before signing permanently, personally. Would be an exciting signing though if he was as good as he used to be - for sure.

Re: Yannick Bolasie
Scores 4-5 a season and bags a similar amount of assists as well... But he hasn't really had much of a run since the injury. Definitely risk associated with it.
Re: Yannick Bolasie
Everton bought him for £25m so i’m guessing he is on a huge wage.
He has been largely injured since he joined them.
Would be a massive risk IMHO

Re: Yannick Bolasie
I remember when he came to the Turf and everyone was talking about Zaha. Bolasie ripped us apart. Zaha went on to Man U, and Bolasie had to wait a couple of years before Everton took him on. He would have been out of our price range at the time, but I've always followed his progress since that day and wished we could have afforded him.
Today I'm not sure. His ability is undoubted, but he does have an injury history. You can carry a couple of those in the squad, but ours are already taken, we can't afford another talented player that MAY spend a lot of time on the treatment table.

As long as Everton are paying around 60 per cent of his wage, he could be worth a punt!

NIXON says we've now joined the complicated race for Bolasie.
Re: Yannick Bolasie
I'd be very wary of his injury record since joining Everton. He's a hell of a player when he's on form, a proper player you want to watch, but why would Everton sell him if he was fit enough to make a meaningful contribution?

I love Bolasie, he’s got that strength AND flair that we could really benefit from. I’m just so used to us missing out whenever another club are in a race with us (except in the Prem of course )

Nixon says BURNLEY. Can offer more cash than rivals for Bolasie. And have the Premier League to offer too. Would be a good addition to the side. Erratic. But rapid.

Re: Yannick Bolasie
Amazing signing if true. A lot has been made of his injury record. He had one really bad injury and a couple of issues after but was never going to be a Sam Allardyce player when they were struggling last year. Think he would be a real asset for us and would really be a signal of intent and yet again amazing value for money

Ripped us a new 1 @ turf n scored a cracker for Everton on the break I seem to recall, would be an amazing signing as he got pace to burn n plenty of skill, only problem I could see is Barnes n wood being able to keep up with him..
Re: Yannick Bolasie
Won't be fit until Christmas for Dyche with the amount of timber he was carrying last season but once fit i'd have him.

Re: Yannick Bolasie
On paper this would satisfy the UTC posters who crave that rapid winger who will beat a man and get to the by line and it would make it a great transfer window. Again, a transfer window cannot be quantified until January or May.
Just finished a meeting at work and one of the lads is an Everton regular, home and away. He said he would drive Keane back to Burnley on a free transfer. He's so slow, awful etc. At a lull in the meeting I mentioned a link with Bolasie, he spat his tea onto the table and said you can have him too!!

I think Everton fans are some of the most ignorant I've ever come across (broad-brush statement I know).
They've won one trophy in 23 years FFS and come across like they're a cut above the rest. Don't understand them at all.

Re: Yannick Bolasie
He'd need a Sean Dyche pre-season to be ready but he would certainly add something if he can get back to the player he was at Palace. Young enough at 29 to still have a good few years ahead of him but only if he hasn't lost a yard of pace through injury.
I'd consider him to be an adequate replacement for Arfield.

Very good player is Bolasie, I'm sure wages would be an issue but if we can get an agreement and get him through a medical it'd be an exciting signing.
Would have liked a Clucas-type too but hope it happens.

My next door neighbour is an Everton fan.
Couldn't wait to get rid of Lukaku, thinks Keane is bobbins, thinks Pickford is better than Pope and Heaton.
If an Everton fan cant wait to get rid of Bolassie that is good testament in my view

I think you are wrong to be honest, he gave us another dimension with his pace, and allowed us to transition and counter quicker then the season before he made us far direct and more effective, he also made Lukaku more effective, people forget that season was relatively successful given the context European football etc and we badly missed him when he got injured. I think because the lad gets a bad press on here people just arent objective, he wasn't worth what we paid, but he was one of our best players at the time he was injured. he never got back to that level after his injury and we moved on from him really.

Re: Yannick Bolasie
In general opposition sides against Burnley have had the luxury of being able to employ a high line and not worry about our pace and breaking.
Last year against West Brom away was the first time I seen a team camp so deep as we had Lennon and GKN playing. It made the midfields job so much easier having space to play in. Bolasie signing would see this a lot more often.
Who knows if he will get back to how he was pre injury but worth the risk I would think. Especially as we will have a bench that can change things if not going well.
