If this is true you've got to wonder about what mental state Frank Lampards in? Swapping the top goalscorer in the Championship last season for a guy who we've seen about 40 minutes from all season. That's not a slight on Wells either because we really just haven't seen enough of him/anything of him to be able to judge him as a player.

We certainly don't want all of Vydra, Jay-Rod, Vokes, Barnes & Wood.

Too much unrest with five strikers. I'd certainly want Vokes to leave in that scenario.

LDC - Their initial report stated that both were undergoing medicals at respective clubs. The yellow ticker would suggest a little back track on the progress.

Just watched the training video posted today on ClaretsPlayer. Maybe reading too much into it but Agyei was training but no sign of Walters or Wells. Good to see Heats back in training too.

Happy to sign Vydra, happy to get rid of Wells who (even in the ridiculously limited appearances) looks out of his depth and has been a shocking signing for the £5m cost.

Good work!

I'm going to wake up in a few minutes! There is a surreal feeling about all this, and I'm stunned. If I'm honest, even bagging the likes of Wood and Gibson leaves me gobsmacked. Now we have three England keepers with Hart signing. Strong rumours of further bid for Rodriguez, Vydra heading for a medical. Bolasie a possibility.

My head is spinning!

Vydra, Wood, Barnes, Jay-Rod would be excellent.

Ship out Wells for Vydra, then bring in £8-10M from the sale of Walters and Vokes. Lower the numbers and up the quality for not a whole lot of £ with the £10M income going towards the £18M or so for Rodriguez.

Almost certainly not a straight swap, surely. I'd imagine Wells just takes some money off. Good business though.

This would be a very good deal for all. Makes sense...hopefully with Derby having a deal in place to buy Wells if all goes well.

Hoping this happens.

BURNLEY & DERBY IN VYDRA-WELLS SWAP TALKS

Burnley and Derby are in talks over a possible deal that will see the Clarets sign Matej Vydra and Nahki Wells join the Rams the other way, according to Sky sources.

We understand both players are set to do medicals at their respective potential new clubs later on Tuesday.

However, if a deal is completed, then Vydra would join Burnley on a permanent deal, but Wells would only join Derby on loan.

Why on earth are people talking about wanting Vokes to go? Its not that long ago that Barnes was a long way down the pecking order and look where he is now! You can never have too many strikers!

Straight swap nonsense!!!

Wells might suit Derby's new system better and i thimk all of us would be happy with Vydra. Its a risk but worth taking especially if the price is around 10m
