The ticket office lady told me my 3 day pass would last Tuesday to Friday inclusive (I cannot work that out so there is a chance mine will stop working).
On a different note the club have replied to someone on Twitter saying coaches are not compulsory but fans are strongly advised to avoid the metro and that coaches are more convenient.
P.s. The trouble is the pick up point is a long way away from any metro station (I walked past it today) and could be a long, hot walk from people’s hotels which personally today I have found knackering in mid afternoon, whereas the Metro to the ground is just yards from my hotel. I am tempted to assume the “strong advice” is local police preference rather than a genuine safety risk, but who knows? I know local derbies can get troublesome but unsure about European games here. So I’m still 70/30 towards the Metro unless I hear different.
P.p.s.The craft beer drinkers will definitely like Beertime just north of Monastiriki. I tried it out earlier. Decent food, superb beer. Similarly, near Syntagma I can recommend Athena’s Cook. For a bottle shop there is a place called Beer St just south west of Syntagma. Lager drinkers I won’t waste my typing on - there are hundreds of options and if drinking around Proskopon Square (where the Magemenos Avros restaurant is) there are also all day bars on the street nearby called Archelaou.
