Repeated it halfway through the first 45 mins.

This is a good signing and fits our strategy well. 3 positive incomings. A right-foted winger hopefully to come. Hope we have left enough time to get Walters and Wells away, as much for them as us. Also, hopefully the likes of Dunne, McNeil and ONeil can get good loans. Obviously before we all get carried away, we need Ben to be here after the deadline and him signing a new contract woud be the icing on the cake.

From his agent's site via Google Translate:
http://chovanecsport.cz/2018/08/07/mate ... o-burnley/

When Matěj Vydra met during the match of the FA Cup Derby-Manchester United with José Mourinho, the famous coach told him: "Next year we will see you in the Premier League." This prophecy was fulfilled! Matěj signed a three-year contract with Burnley.

" He told me when we were good. And interestingly, when I was in Manchester on Monday, I saw him walking down the street. This time we did not talk, " adds a smiley historian Matěj, who returns to the Premier League after four years.

How was the transfer ever born?
"I did not know anything on Saturday night, but around ten, Ondra Chovanec called me that one club from the Premier League would be interested, but do not shout. But then it quickly drove off. I've always wanted to play in this competition, either with Derby or in this way. It was a long wait, Derby was pushing me to take Leeds. I appreciated his offer, which was above-standard, but I wanted it for my dream, so I could not sign it. I met it, everything was fast, today (on Tuesday) I underwent a medical checkup. In fact, it's baked in 48 hours. "

Burnley surprised the seventh place last season, their coach Sean Dyche is among the most respected managers. What was your impression of you?
"The first time we talked on the phone and today again. He told me what he wanted to do, I liked how it was organized in Burnley overall. Everyone knows what they are doing, they want to improve each year. Hopefully, the club will continue with me. "

What should your roles be?
"He told me three years ago that he would not buy me in Burnley, because he played mostly high attackers. But he likes adjusting tactics every season so they can surprise their opponents, want to be more soccer. Typically, I'm different from the rest, I'm a dozen who can do the balloon, choose a place and have a good move. "

How do you perceive competitors in the attack? Among other things, Sam Vokes or Chris Wood, who was the best Shooter for the year before you.

"There are five invaders here. It is not a small competition, but it certainly will not play the whole season on one point. If you manage to move to the base of the European League, it will be for fifty matches per season. Everybody gets a chance, it's up to me if I use it. I want to show that I have quality. "

You have started to prepare for the procedure you underwent later. How long will you be ready to play?
"As far as my body is concerned, I'm perfectly healthy, but I have to get a match. I'm not ready for the next few days, I'll need fourteen days to get there. Anyway, the coach told me that he did not want me to set up unprepared, because this is a different level than the second league. And until he is convinced that I'm ready for a hundred percent I will not play. But I'll do everything I can to get into it as quickly as possible. "

Happy with this signing.

Will slot in nicely behind Wood.

Reckon it will help JBG and Lennon out too.

Looks like we won’t see him for at least 2 weeks, though.

Love that translation Zizkov.

Having accepted his departure, Derby fans seem relatively pleased he’s come to us, they’re just chuffed he’s not gone to Leeds but no bitterness towards Burnleyin the forum I read. Most feel he’s got every chance of making an impression in the Prem, good to hear he has a impressive ‘shots to goal’ ratio. Looking forward to seeing him play, shame its likely not to be for a few weeks.

Only just seen that this is confirmed. I'm very pleased with this signing. I think Vydra certainly offers something different. He's a good age and had a great season with Derby. I've seen a few clips of him and he seems fairly quick and also strong and capable of holding off defenders. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses with us. Welcome to Burnley FC, Matěj!

I love being able to cherry pick players from lower league minnows like Leeds, Derby and Middlesbrough, it feels great. As soon as we're interested in their players, they cant wait to pack their bags and join us.
